The hallmark of a great realtor is the quality and timeliness of communication between seller and broker during the stressful time of selling one's home. Unfortunately, my agent, Robin, fell short of excellence in this area. Communication was tedious at times, and her poor attitude did not help. I expected her to sell my home, and she expected me to be available on the weekends (the prime showing opportunities) to prep it and show it, while she was busy with other things. She made snarky comments to me, did not follow through with how I wanted the MLS worded (my home was nearly a $1 million listing, so selling my home should have been a big deal for her). I had to write the listing to get it correct. She seemed to be taking the buyers' side at times. I had to contact her boss multiple times to try to resolve the communication issues. She was impatient with me while I was working or travelling for business to other time zones. She did not meet the level of service I would have expected from this kind of "executive" home sale. We disagreed on a number of areas including price, open house showings, what items to remove to show, how to word the listing. The relationship started out great, but then she started to run things her way, which brought on the communication issues. She referred to me as "Hey there"..... and not by my name. The entire transaction was stressful, but it didn't have to be. At the end, another agent from another company came through with an offer which brought the deal to close (after 100 days). For that, my agent received a large commission, and I didn't even get a thank you from her.

Sandra is a well informed agent who knows prices in the area and how to stage a house to get the maximum return. She is pleasant and easy to deal with, and above all honest!

We have used them many times. The first time was in 2009 when one of their agents helped us find a rental condo. We are huge fans and love them to death. We specifically love our agent. The experience has been fantastic. They are the only people we would use.

Kate Patterson was my Real Estate agent. She did not represent me well. Her level of service was so poor that I was forced to deal with her Broker. His involvement did not really help the situation. I would never recommend McEnearney Associates to anyone. In fact I would recommend that you not do business with them.

Dee Hester was my real estate agent, guiding me through the process of purchasing my first single-family home during the summer of 2011. She listened very closely to what my needs were, and over time, helped me understand how the shifting priorities of 'must have' vs 'nice to have' shape the final decision of home selection. Dee was also a marvelous representative during the inspection, negotiation and closing phases of the process. She was tough when appropriate, yet always professional.

Finally, Dee has a excellent eye for landscaping and gave very good advice for me going forward to make my home look even more attractive.

My wife and I recently purchased our first home in Alexandria. We were complete novices in the area of home buying. Our only knowledge of the process is from shows like House Hunters and Property Virgins. We stumbled upon McEnearney through real estate relocation service provided by a family member. Our agent (Pat Crusenberry) was excellent. She guided us through the entire home buying process and answered all of our questions. All-in-all we probably saw about 25 homes and were extremely happy with the one we ultimately decided on. Pat negotiated a great deal for the house, so we could not be happier. She guided us through the whole closing process. She helped us coordinate everything with the lender and title company to reach closing, which made life a lot easier. We will definitely use Pat and McKenearney again when we buy or sell a house.

She sold my home in 5 days! Very professional and have a very good reputation here in the city. We’ve worked with her in the past and will continue to in the future if needed.
