They could be less expensive. They could do a better job weeding. They could let me know when they are coming when its been raining. My lawn hasn't been cut in 2 weeks or something. I don't know when they are coming, so maybe better communication.

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel
ePedro Campos and his company, Marpelli Landscaping was recommended to me
by a friend who he had done some work for. She was not completely
satisfied but she thought he maybe able to do a good job for me. I was
hesitant because what I wanted done was a bathroom remodel. I requested
some references from people who he had done similar work for and spoke
to them by telephone. All of the references were all favorable so I
proceeded. After all, our kids attended the same Christian high
school. A contract was signed and I expected a good job to be done.
What I did not expect is an untrained crew, rushed and incomplete work
and pressure to be paid before the work was completed.
To be specific, his crew removed my toilet so they could do some tile
work, they did not replace the wax ring which resulted in a slow leak,
mold accumulation and finally a hole in my ceiling right above my
kitchen sink. Yuck!
In addition, In their haste to get paid on the final day they did not
caulk around the plumbing in the bathroom sink faucet, so whenever the
sink was used water leaked down the plumbing and into the vanity. The
vanity was in a family bathroom that I as the owner did not use often. I
was recently diagnosed with the sensitivity to mold and later found
that the culprit was a significant amount of black mold growing in the
vanity with the leak.
A plumber recommended that the vanity and the corresponding plumbing be
changed. The cost of the new vanity was $550. The cost of new plumbing
was $150. The cost of having the vanity removed and the plumbing
installed was $450. I was urged by the plumber to call Mr. Campos since
it was an error on his part when he initially installed the vanity and
the plumbing, so I called. Pedro assured me that he would come the day
after Christmas. He did not, so I called again and left a message. He
did not return my message, so I called again and spoke with him
directly. Again he assured me that he would come. He still has not and
out of medical necessity I can wait no further.
This was not the first leak I had as a result of his shoddy work. A few days
after he completed the job, I had to call Mr. Campos because the shower
was leaking in the same bathroom. At that time, he could have
inspected all of the work he had done to ensure no further leaks. He did
not. What he did do was to minimize his culpability as much as
possible. I find that careless and irresponsible.
The moral of the story is: one to use a company that does bathroom remodels
on a regular basis. Two, even if you have recommendations and
references from prior clients, you still must act as if you are a
trained contractor and inspect all of the work thoroughly. And finally
you must never use Marpelli Landscaping for a bathroom remodel nor for
landscaping because the company's owner is not thorough and does not not
keep his word.

He seemed like a professional on the phone. His website looked great. But in the end, he never came to cut the grass.

They did exactly what they said they would do. They were timely and quick. It looked really good when they were done. I don't know if I overpaid or underpaid; I've never had yard work done before. They showed up when they said they would and they got the job done. I've been there 1 1/2 years and one of the neighbors that I've never talked to shouted out and said it looked good.

Overall fairly decent work, but I would recommend verification of products actully utilized. For further specifics regarding the completed work, pls see above narrative. Would also recommend that - someone in the crew be able to effectively communicate with the customer.

They do very good work and this is the second year we have used them. We really like their work. Compared to other company's prices, they have a great deal. We will use this company again in the future.

Company owner came out and provided estimate. Was very easy to work with and interested in meeting our needs and providing a fair price. Began work on time (actually a day or two late because of rain). Tidied up work area at end of each day. Finished two days early. This is the second time we've used this company and we are really pleased. Good work for a fair price. Only complaint is it took a couple missed appointments for owner to come for estimate. But he made up for it in the end.

I THOUGHT THAT THEY WERE A GOOD COMPANY. THE ONLY THING WAS THAT WE HAD TO STAY ON THEM TO COMPLETE THE JOB. BUT WHEN THE JOB WAS FINISHED THE YARD LOOKED BEAUTIFUL.
