Chris came out on extremely short notice to examine possible moisture in the walls of our rowhouse. He was able to open our drywall (cutting a neat square that caused as little damage as possible), perform a thorough inspection of the area, and confirm there was no evidence of mold. His explanations were very clear and assuaged our concerns. He followed up later that day with a detailed photo-report. Would recommend to anyone with concerns about water damage or mold.

Started almost immediately after agreement signed. Two teams worked simultaneously, one in kitchen; one, basement. Raul, Walter, Gabe, and Jaimie were super stuff! Chris , who directed the effort, was quite knowledgeable and was always in touch. Samantha and Danielle in admin always polite, friendly and helpful. If I ever recommend Lightspeed, I will suggest asking for these seven people.

I have to say that I was completely lost and didn’t know what to do. My first time owning a condo and seeing water drop down from above was truly not something I wanted to deal with. Luckily I found AdvantaClean on Angi and the entire team was awesome. Dan and Samatha in the office was always quick to respond and set up the work. Dan and his crew are absolutely phenomenal. As a Realtor, having strong referral partners is essential. Dan responded to an emergency water damage call and was on-site in an hour. Company owner, Dan Derbes, is a pleasure to do business with. Considerate, patient, friendly, fair, responsive, and honest are all descriptive words that come to mind. The job at hand was demanding and difficult: cleaning and removing mold and fiberglass insulation from two crawlspace areas under my home, encapsulating the crawlspace using foam board and 12-mil plastic vapor barrier material, and installing dual dehumidifiers. I had estimates from 5 companies, and AdvantaClean's quote offered me the best value for the scope of work that was required and methodology to be used on the job. The work was done over a two-week period in July during very hot and humid weather. These were terrible and extreme working conditions. I would have rated this company "A" if it were not for the fact that good workers are hard to find these days, especially when it comes to such "unpleasant" work. I would have given them a B+, but only whole-letter grades are allowable on Angie's List. When the downgrade? It is because AdvantaClean had to use several "temporary" employees on this project along with their salaried employees. As an unfortunate consequence, some of the individuals doing the work turned out to be less than honest and not very competent. One of them made some mistakes and did not own up to them. In fact, Dan fired him for not being truthful about his work during the course of the project. Also, in my opinion, one of the salaried company employees on this job was less than proficient, and his work was not neat. He took too long to do relatively simple tasks and others had to clean up after him. In retrospect, a greater degree of attention from an experienced, high work ethic supervisor(s) was needed continuously, not just sporadically, on this project. Unfortunately, Dan Derbes could not be at the job site every day and was dependent upon two employees to supervise. More than one worker admitted to me this was the first time he had ever done some of the tasks the job required. When I was able to speak with Dan and observe that some of the work underway was initially sloppy or incomplete, Dan ensured that it was promptly and properly re-done by a more competent and knowledgeable employee. This was sometimes frustrating, but at the end of two weeks the project was completed satisfactorily. On a very positive note, I also employed AdvantaClean to clear dust and debris from the vents and air handlers of the two HVAC systems in my home. This was done after the crawlspace project was completed. For the HVAC job, Raul and Matthew, the two AdvantaClean employees who performed the work, were excellent. On-time, courteous, professional, and thorough. Impressively, they worked continuously for six hours to get the job done right, not even taking rest, dinner, or bathroom breaks. I would employ them again in a heartbeat! Company owner Dan Derbes kept in touch with me after the project was complete. He was immediately responsive and visited my home when I called him a week later and complained about a residual musty odor in an area of the crawl space. He stopped by personally to check it out. I would use this company again because of my satisfaction with the owner's attentiveness and the professionalism of many of the employees; however, based on my experience, I would now know to insist that unskilled "temps" not be used on the job and that there be full-time supervision by either the owner or a trusted and competent company employee.

Dan immediately answered phone and was able to make an appointment for the next day. He had one of his three certified technicians, Raul, come to the home and perform the inspection and cleaning. Raul called 30 minutes before arriving, requested if I had any special instructions for him, and was on time for the appointment. He thoroughly cleaned the HVAC system and ducts as well as the vent for the dryer. Raul provided me an appraisal of the system status, and provided me both before and after pictures of the ducts, coils and vents. I would recommend AdvantaClean and plan to use them in future for regular maintenance. I called four other companies listed by the NADCA.com website, and none answered the phone or have returned messages.
