 + 0 moreHe did not finish the project because we had to fire him. He was 6 months to a year behind schedule. The work that was completed had to be redone, including the plumbing and electric. On top of all that, he submitted false invoices. After we fired him, we learned that several subcontractors were not paid and that material we paid for, that he claimed was stored off site, (for example $33,000 for windows), was never purchased. Hiring him was a disaster from start to finish.
Description of Work: We hired Jeff Kirkland and his partner to tear down our house and build a new one using AAC block.

 + 4 moreTo say it was miserable is an understatement. Contractor didn't finish work, did work poorly and WAY behind schedule. Over a year later we're still fixing problems. Contractor didn't pay all subcontractors and we ended up with a lien and other legal problems. Had to finish job at our expense and pay $15K in legal bills to deal with his $@&*! I have since talked with other clients and suppliers who were cheated.
Description of Work: Whole house renovation. New kitchen, 4 1/2 new baths, new HVAC, new lighting, some new walls, new flooring, new stairs, some structural work, new drainage.
