JP Landscaping wowed me from the minute they started work until the time they finished. I have truly never worked with a better contractor and crew than this group. We hired them to help correct a drainage issue on the side of our back yard that was allowing water flow toward our home during strong storms. Jose met with us and determined a plan to add a wall to hold the water and push toward the drainage system they added so that water would flow to the road and not toward our house. It turned out to be beautiful and functional! He has the hardest working and most professional crew!

Called company to schedule them to take a look at what needed to be done and provide an estimate. The gentleman said he could be out the next morning. Asked me to provide him the address via text message, which I did after verifying with him his phone number. Said he would call me an hour prior to arrival. Sadly, he never called nor showed up. I sent another text asking if we needed to reschedule or not. No response.

Very well. Jose conducted a quick and thorough estimate, his crew showed up on time and did a great job with the final touches. Well done!

They did a difficult job well. They replaced our old patio with new pavers, expanding it to come to both sets of steps on our deck. They installed new French drains and dried creek bed, going around or under previous drains. They extended the drains from the roof to join the drain to the road. They poisoned and removed invasive plants. Due to the lateness of the year, it is a little too early to see how well the new French drain will work longer term or removal of invasive plants, but it's good so far and it looks good! The price was good and they worked hard and quickly.

We recently contracted with J.P. Landscaping for installation of a flagstone walkway (over existing concrete base). Jose and his team were excellent and answered all of our questions. The crew was very professional and meticulous in their work. Would hire again for future projects.

They arrived on time, charged less than the rest, provided more mulch than the rest, provided high quality mulch, and did a fabulous job. Highly recommend them.

This is the second project we hired JP Landscaping for, and I suggest that anyone else looking for landscaping or hardscaping work do the same. We obtained numerous quotes for both projects, and JP was always the most transparent, honest, and cheapest. We could not be happier with everything his team did for us--a retaining wall, patio, and fence. He totally transformed our back yard. He was patient as we worked through what exactly we wanted and our budget. Once we made a decision and he had the materials, his team showed up right away and worked hard. I highly recommend JP Landscaping for anyone's next project.

Wonderful! José was prompt to get back to me, showed up the same day to assess the job, sent me a proposal that evening, and the next morning his guys were on site to do the work. He followed up later with a phone call to make sure everything was good, and it was. José and his team are professional and knowledgeable. I will definitely be calling them again.

JP did an outstanding job! Jose was quick to respond and very professional. The team arrived on time every morning and worked until sunset. They were flexible and when we made changes to the planned work and added two new patio landings they said no problem and completed the tasks for a fair price. The new fencing, patio, and walkway look beautiful and we’re looking forward to the next rain storm to see the trench take the rain water to the sewer and not flood our yard! We had talked about doing this work for years and are so happy we finally decided to get it done. Couldn’t be happier with the results.

Horrible! Made 2 appointments with this contractor to discuss the work and get an estimate. He postponed the first and never showed for the second.

I want to be clear this review does not reflect services rendered. JP Landscaping may do excellent lawn work, but the communication was very unprofessional. After 3 red flags it became clear we would not be able to do business. My partner and I just moved in to a new home and needed our front lawn mowed; we had too much going on to do it ourselves. There was a coupon on Angie's List that listed up to 1/4 acre mowing for a set price and it sounded like a bargain. I took the coupon and promptly got an Angie's List message from the contractor asking if I was available for him to come out the next day and take a look. I happily agreed and gave my cell number saying I would be home all day. He said he would let me know an hour before he arrived. (so far so good) The next day, by the end of the day (5 pm) I had not heard any word. I sent a message asking if he still intended on coming out. He responded "sorry, I can come out tomorrow if you're available." At this point I was a little frustrated because I consider that poor communication. If I give an expectation to someone and end up needing to break it, I inform the other party immediately. Things happen, we get busy, schedules shift, that's ok, but please say something. This was a red flag, but when he asked if 10am the next day worked for me I agreed. 10 am worked for me. Unfortunately, 9am did not work for me and he rang the doorbell promptly at 9am. (evidently he had sent an Angie's List message just before 8am saying he was an hour away, but for many reasons I would have had no reason to look for this message at that time of day) This was red flag #2 on the communications front. Since he was already here, I decided to proceed. He said he would survey the yard and give me a proposal. I left the front door open and went back inside to attend to what was going on at the time. After 45 minutes I went to check what was taking so long and discovered he had left without a word! Evidently he was under the impression that he would leave and send me a proposal, which would be reasonable if that had been what we discussed. But we did not discuss this, I had no idea that was his intention. I called to try and figure out what happened, but at this point it was clear that he and I would likely never be on the same page in terms of communication expectations. In summary, JP Landscaping may do good work, but the communication was so unprofessional, I'll never know.

They did a Good Job

Jose's crew came and cleaned up a jungle in our backyard. He also offered to do weeding for a reasonable rate. I would definitely call him for garden or landscaping work.

Jose and his crew at JP Landscaping Inc. are highly professional. I would recommend them to anyone. I needed a 500 sq foot wooden deck to be removed and a 600 sq foot flagstone patio, with a sitting wall, to be put in its place. Jose came out and gave me a free estimate. His estimate was highly competitive. JP Landscaping Inc. finished ahead of schedule and did beautiful work. During the process, Jose was responsive to all of my questions. I also appreciated that the crew would clean up my yard, after each day of work. I love my patio. I would hire JP Landscaping Inc. again if I needed to. The company also repaired a section of my fence that surrounds my backyard. The fence looks like new. They did a great job matching the replacement section to my existing fence. Upon completion of their work, I even asked them for quotes on additional projects, I liked them so much.

Provider told me that the deal for 2 hrs at $180 was only if I provided the equipment. Why would I want to do that? How unprofessional Is that? I could go to 7-11 and get someone to do that. This does not reflect well on Angie s List. What kind of screening are you doing?

JP Landscaping did a very good job. The yard looked great when the work was completed. They were prompt and professional. I'm hiring them to mow the grass on a regular basis.
