The results were fantastic. Jon brought some really good ideas about how to maximize use of our tight space in older brick duplex such that we increased the size of our old bathroom, added another, and still ended up with more closet space than we started with.
Pros: High quality work. Good oversight of his subcontractors. Seems to have a good working relationship with many of his job supervisors. Job completed in a timely manner. The living areas were left clean each evening even though we had moved out during the renovation. He understood during the proposal phase that with older projects, as soon as you open up a wall that there might be discoveries about other work that would need to be done to bring things up to code, and those allowances were mostly budgeted for and scheduled up front so it felt like there weren't many surprised. We would definately use him again for major projects.
Cons: I had to put in work to maintain the lines of communication and to pull out solid dates as to when he would need inputs (like paint, tile and finish choices, etc.) A.D.D. seems to be a contractors disease and sometimes I really needed to get him to focus. Yes, he'll spend all the time you need to talk to you about the work, but he does that for each client, meaning whoever is next will end up waiting. He does pick up his phone when called though. (Did not appreciate coming home to find our one and only bathroom was ripped out without a porta potty in place. We really should have clarified that up front.)
Overall: the experience and ideas he brought to the project combined with the good sense of how best to use materials and work with his subcontractors makes this company one I would use again for large projects.

He was easy to deal with and friendly. He completed everything on time but I thought their pricing was pretty high. I will use them again in the future.

When no other contractor would return or even answer my calls, Jon came out on a Sunday to give me an estimate on repairing a patch of water damaged wall and within three days his guys had come out and finished the job. There was absolutely no mess to clean up afterward and the wall looks great.
