Gust Renovations

We are extremely pleased with the work recently completed on our historic home by Gust Renovations. Our home was built in 1880. Gust Renovations communicated to us knowledge of the historic engineering and construction of our home, and knowledge and application of appropriate historic licensing and building codes. We felt this was very important so that our home remains historically accurate. The price was extremely fair, and the job done in a timely manner. The attention given to the smallest of details throughout the renovation gave us confidence that it will last a very long time.

They started on May 11th and completed on July 6th. I didn't like the schedule, the quality and professionalism. They were nice but they would forget to lock the gate or lock the door when they left. They left several lights on all the time. They wouldn't show up for days. They left cardboard boxes with tile outside so that when it rained the boxes fell apart and the tile broke. It was just a mess. Responsiveness to phone calls was an A, responsiveness to my actual concerns would be a C.

We provided paint and Steve completed the work within one day. It was very basic and fine for the price we paid. He worked hard to complete the job in a timely manner.

Purchased a coupon and added additional services. Job was done well and rather quickly. Michael Gust spent a lot of time discussing my options with me and offering good advice. Enjoyable to work with and very professional.

I used a groupon to try their services. I had to pay a surcharge for being outside their standard area (this was mentioned in the groupon). Originally there were some scheduling glitches. However, the painting was done well and in the timeframe provided. Overall I would hire them again for painting.

Took longer than expected and several trips (not always scheduled timely), but worth the price.

I bought a Groupon to for painting the walls in two rooms (12 x 12 max, I think). Unfortunately, the work was originally scheduled for a day when we had a snowstorm, so we had to postpone. Due to various circumstances---all on our end---we didn't reschedule until months later, long after the Groupon had expired. Steven nonetheless was very cooperative on scheduling and honored the Groupon. He showed up, worked steadily (and fast), and completed the job---with two coats of pair---all in one day. I paid extra that day for the two ceilings. He cleaned up after himself and did a thorough job. I do a very good job painting, too, but I was amazed at his speed. I understand that Gust is a family business, and I can attest that they seem to do business the (good) old-fashioned way, with pride in doing a good job for the customer, not just in doing a transaction. I would definitely recommend them to others.

On time and did a great job. Very nice to work with. I will use them again. I had a groupon. I was charged a fair price for the areas not covered by the groupon. My only mini complaint was with the groupon they stated a 24 hour response time. It took a bit longer than that. However once we connected they were responsive and able to get the job done quickly.

They are wonderful and we are having them come back again. We really liked them. Their prices were great and they were very fair. It is just a really nice family-service, there are no subcontractors and it is just a really good company. We were really happy with them. They were really, really great.

The amount spent is approximative (I do not have the exact figure) and includes purchase of high quality paint. Gust Renovations accommodated my timeframe, arrived when promised, worked efficiently and cleanly. I will be using their services again to gradually repaint the whole house. Highly reliable and commendable.

I bought the deal, I think $200 to paint two rooms. This included the walls only. So I decided to pay more to paint the ceilings and a stairway wall also. I also paid more to treat the walls and ceilings; they were old and cracking, so the total was about $1,000. Mr. Gust and his two sons did the job. They were prompt, courteous, and did a good job painting. I would hire them again. In fact, we're thinking of hiring them to paint a couple more rooms.

It went great. Work took a bit longer than estimated but the quality of the work was incredible. The delay of finishing had extenuating circumstances so it was understandable. I highly recommend them.

We purchased a groupon for painting from Gust Renovations. When we had determined our colors, we contacted Gust and they got back to us and scheduled a time for them to come out and perform the painting. They were able to complete the painting in less than 2 days, which given the amount of corners and trim and detailed areas was impressive. We would highly recommend Gust for not just painting, but their knowledge of other renovation items.
