Katie and her team took my birthday dinner to the next level. I contacted Katie less than two weeks before my event and we had everything squared away in a couple of days. The food was AMAZING, her staff was professional and super friendly. I’m not sure I can have another event at my home without Katie and her team. Will definitely be working with Green Sage Kitchen & Catering LLC again.

Fantastic. Chef/owner Katie Musser is a wonderful chef and an extremely organized, personable professional. Katie and her delightful team of 2 servers, a bartender, and pantry person arrived a couple of hours before the dinner and arranged everything beautifully, including the outside bar and tables. The food was phenomenal! So many of our guests raved about it and asked me who our caterer was. The staff passed appetizers around at just the right intervals and always made sure everyone was served graciously. The dinner was buffet-style and it was presented beautifully. Katie subtly reminded me when it was time for the champagne toast and birthday cake after everyone had finished eating. I was so relaxed at the party and was able to enjoy talking to all our guests because I totally left everything to the professionals! Everything was flawless and fabulous!

The dinners have been fantastic! The food is always perfect and the service is great. Our guests rave about the food and really enjoy the entire team from Green Sage that are a part of the dinner. We plan to use them for more dinners next year!

Katie Musser who IS Green Sage Kitchen is a great cook and a lovely to do business with.  After hunting around for a caterer, we found her on Angie's List and liked her from our first telehone conversation.  Her prices are in the reasonable range, she has a great menu, and she proved good and patient as we backed and forthed a bit.  She came with the food and it was really wonderful.(Don't miss the gaspacho shooters, yes, gazpacho shooters.)  Great food, good experience, lovely person.

I put together quickly a small dinner birthday party for my husband. When I requested menu options from several caterers, Katie was the first to respond. Her menu is very diverse. She was very responsive to all of my questions and changes. The food and service was excellent. My guests raved about the food. They had to pass out their cards because so many people were interested In their service. My husband a "want to be chef " also enjoyed the food. I was able to relax and enjoy the event because Wade and Louis were in charge executing their job in an efficient and professional manner. I will use them again for future events.

I decided that I wanted to celebrate my 50th Birthday Party in my home here in Fredericksburg, Virginia.  I was going to invite family and friends from all over to celebrate this event.  I thought about a local restaurant, but the logistics of having almost 20 people for dinner wasn't the same as having everyone in my home with no timelines and having the event catered.  I tried in vain to locate a catering service with an excellent reputation, but failed to find such here in this area.  I decided to use Angie's List and there with high grades and with excellent write-ups was Green Sage Kitchen & Catering.  I went on to contact Green Sage, Executive Chef Katie Musser, who from the first phone call to the last chat and paying the reminder of my balance, was one of the most professional service providers I have ever come across and I've been in the customer service arena for over 30 years.  We immediately set on a date and in a few days I received a draft menu.  We went back and forth a few times until we had a solid menu which included Passed Canapé Options, Main Buffet Options with Sides, my chosen birthday cake, and she even went as far as including a complementary Vegetarian Dish for my daughter, who was going to be joining us from college and it was a total surprise to her.  In the weeks leading to the event, Katie maintained in close communication, updating the menu and making adjustments all around to include making arrangements for rental equipment, which in this area, was a total challenge for her.  Once we had a solid menu and all arrangements were in place for the rental, Murphy?s Law dictated last minute changes, which Katie handled in a seamless matter.  
On the day of the event, Katie was here bright and early, and her selected assigned Server (Carlos), who by the way, was excellent himself, took over my kitchen and I have to tell you that the event was flawless, I kept checking on them and they had everything under control, from passing out the hors d?oeuvres, to the drinks, to the main dinner, to the cutting of the cake, my family and friends were amazed on the superior service and attention they all received, from the youngest to the oldest, seamless and exciting.  The food, which Katie prepared from scratch, was excellent, delicious and nutritious :)  The cake...OMG the best cake I've ever tasted (Coconut Cake with Bavarian Cream filling - my choice) was beyond describable.  BTW I?m already planning on having Katie prepare another cake for my son?s birthday this summer.  I cannot say enough of the outpouring compliments and positive comments received from everyone for Katie and Carlos.  The timing of everything, even the birthday Champagne toast was timed perfectly.  The most amazing thing yet was that Katie left my kitchen spotless, just as it was when she arrived.  She washed and wiped down everything and when I mean everything, I mean everything was secured exactly the way I had it.  They moved all tables to their original position and moved all rental equipment back into the garage for pickup that following Monday.
What else can I say but simply amazing!  I would recommend Katie to everyone and anyone ? for any event, period.  She is very humble and professional and would be an invaluable person to any event, big or small.  
I am planning on using Katie in the very near future as there aren't any reputable catering services in the Fredericksburg area ? trust me.

First and foremost, the food is delicious. My 2 year old was getting so used to junk food that she was refusing more healthy choices we tried to feed her. With the food from Green Sage Catering, she ate foods like sweet potatoes, salad, and collard greens and asked for more. Katie has a wide variety of foods on her menu and makes adjustments based on your preferences and/or dietary needs. We selected 4 servings of 4 meals and were pleasantly surprised by the amount of food in each serving. My husband, daughter, and I were able to eat lunch and dinner for over a week.
Katie was prompt and cleaned up thoroughly before she left. She was also responsive, answering my questions and adjusting her schedule so we could meet with her on the first cook date. This is something I've wanted to do for my family's health for quite some time now and I look forward to a long relationship with Katie.

Katie was wonderful.  I had never hired a caterer for an in-home event, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but everything was amazing.  She worked with me on the menu and provided many delicious options.  The mother-to-be had made some food requests and Katie accommodated brilliantly.  Katie showed up with an assistant and transformed the pre-party chaos into calm.
I'm not sure I can ever host a party without Green Sage catering again.  I was able to enjoy the party, and relax on the days leading up to the shower.  She exceeded my expectations!

Green Sage catered my daughter’s wedding for 120 guests in our home in McLean, VA. Katie Musser and her team showed their professional training and experience from start to finish, in the menu offerings and friendly but efficient service. Green Sage features seasonal, local foods in attractive, tasty combinations. Katie was flexible when I wanted to provide buffet items myself and her staff served tantalizing hot and cold Green Sage hors d’oeuvres and replenished the buffets as well. The staff was sensitive to the timing of our event and cleaned and organized all food areas before departing. I found Green Sage’s prices to be reasonable.
