Erin May, Architect

Erin May was referred to me by my general contractor. I engaged her services to produce renderings of my facade for submission to the Board of Architectural Review. After studying Old Town historical facades, I had questions about the historical accuracy of her drawings. The day after our meeting, she sent an email stating that the terms of her engagement were fulfilled with a balance due. I mailed a check for the balance due to Ms. May’s Arlington post office box. After 10+ weeks, my check remained uncashed so I stopped payment. A month later, still wanting to pay her for services rendered, I mailed a second check Certified Mail/Return Receipt to the same post office box. Eight days later, my letter was returned marked “Refused RTS”. I’m at a loss. I cannot recommend Erin May.
