Duke Street Sleep Center

I bought a mattress and a box spring (not a grouped special) priced line item seperately at Mattress Discounters on Duke Street from the store front and paid for the delivery as I do not have a truck. The next day, I called to cancel the box spring, as the bed frame takes only a mattress. I was told this was no problem (as I expected, since there was a 60 day return, and I could cancel before delivery, which was not for several more days) and was told I would get a "check in the mail" for the amount of 209.67 plus tax, the amount listed on my invoice for the box spring, but Christine Derry, the salesperson was with a customer, and could not help me. I did not want to refuse delivery, I told her, but she assured me that it would be taken care of. The mattress was delivered, and the price was shown as the line item amount for the mattress. No check came. I waited. I called the store after a month and was told by a male salesman that something looked strange. Too little was refunded it looked like. I would have to talk to Christine. Christine would only tell me that her boss was working on it, or that she "would have to call me back." Then I noticed that I was refunded $61. That is theft, deceit and unacceptable. Do not be scammed.
