D1 Moving & Storage is a locally owned family business in the Alexandria, Virginia area. Our experienced staff takes pride in handling every move with the highest level of care and service. We assign a moving consultant for each customer who will provide a written estimate, discuss and clarify the details of the estimate, address any questions you may have regarding the move, and provide support throughout the process. We have multiple temperature controlled warehouses along with 15 trucks servicing the Virginia area. We have been building a presence and reputation in this area since 2016 and it is only growing! We are one of the fastest growing moving companies in the Washington, D.C. Metro area and are trying to make as many life long professional relationships as possible. We offer all types of moving services: Residential Moving, Commercial Moving, Senior Relocation Management, Full Packing and Unpacking, Junk Removal, Local and Long Distance. D1 did an impeccable job moving me from Washington, D.C. to Richmond, VA. They showed up on time even though it was raining cats and dogs. They worked their tails off and I could not be happier. Jake’s communication was great throughout the whole process as well. Contact D1 for your move!

This move went beyond all expectations. The movers John and D were extremely kind and hard workers who assisted me with anything I needed and answered all my questions. I also planned on following the moving truck back in my own vehicle to DC, but my car broke down in Memphis. I had a meeting the next day and needed to be back but no flights were available and covid was starting to run wild so no one was willing to assist me. John and D saw I was trapped and turned the truck around to drive back 30 minutes to help me get my car towed and then allowed me to ride in the truck with them all the way back to DC! Absolute life savers and could not have asked for a better moving crew for my cross country move.
