I wanted a small master bathroom redone. There wasn’t much to work with to begin, but we pulled the tub, built a shower, eventually pulled half a wall, full marble repaired floor, added the powder room to the mix, painting, lights etc,.I just kept adding things on- Martin isn’t cheap, but his guy Mario and his guys really did a fantastic job! I ended up spending way over budget, but I got all the extra things I needed done, done. I still have more things I need done, so of course, I’ll make sure I can get these guys back- they took really special care of everything for me and I appreciate the attention to details. Follow up calls, and fixes were handled swiftly- these guys work really hard and are just awesome! Thanks so much!

I hired Design Home Improvement back in October to repair the drywall in my ceiling. I received a great quote and Robert arrived to fix my ceiling the very next day. He was was very courteous and skilled, finishing the project within 4 hours. He checked in with me as he was getting ready to wrap up and asked me to take a careful look to make sure that everything looked great. I felt bad asking him to smooth out one tiny area, but he assured me that it was no problem, and he took his time to make sure that it was perfect before wrapping up for the day. Robert did such an excellent job that you can't even tell that my ceiling had been repaired. I am extremely satisfied with the service, and highly recommend Design Home Improvements and Robert for any of your drywall needs.

I previously reviewed Design Home Improvement for powerwashing, but this company also stained my deck and made repairs. The powerwashing and staining were excellent at a very reasonable price. But, in addition, when I asked the owner, Martin, about certain problems in the deck, he diagnosed the problem and made the repairs. He knew what he was doing, and he knew the hardware that was needed to prop up the stairs and strengthen the railing. While he was there, I also asked him to look at a shed door that would not close properly after a repair by another craftsman. Again, Martin diagnosed the problem and figured out the hardware to straighten out the door, which he did at a reasonable price. Where Martin went the extra mile was at the start of the project. I had stored a gas range and microwave on the deck to give to a friend who decided that he didnâ t want it. I was trying to figure out what to do with it, when Martin offered to take it to Habitat for Humanity at no charge. He even gave me the form from Habitat for a tax-deductible donation. Martin is not only a proâ s pro, but a gentleman.

Design Home Improvement was easy to work with! Martin Young who is the project manager had good suggestions to help improve my condo. His group showed up ontime, did what he said he would do, took pictues as progress was made, was flexible in making my additions to his estimate, sent updated estimates as I changed things, and was very responsive in communicating what was going on. It was a pleasure working with this company. I would definitely hire them again for a project. Don't hesitate have them give you an estimate for any work you need done!

Martin is knowledgeable, attentive to detail and pleasant to work with, and to the extent that I have met people on his team the same applies.

I am super reluctant to have to write this negative review. Martin was relatively quick in reaching out initially and even came by to give me a quote. After we agreed to move forward though, be dropped off the face of the planet. I would have to ping him multiple times over periods of days just to get a response. We finally scheduled a day for the work to be done and nobody showed up. I've been truly surprised by the utter lack of customer service, especially considering the stellar reviews this company had on HomeAdvisor. I don't want to have to start from scratch with another pro, but I need this project to be done at some point and it's just not happening with Design Home Improvement :( Very disappointing experience overall. Update: Martin did get back to me and the work ended up being completed. My renter seems to be happy with the result, so I'm a happy camper. Biggest complaint would still have to be the difficulty communicating, but all's well that ends well! :)

Martin was quick to respond to my request. He gave me an estimate the same day I spoke to him. He was very flexible with scheduling and did an amazing job on the fence and deck. I would definitely recommend this company.

We did a complete kitchen remodeling and it took essentially two weeks. Martin was always attentive and courteous, explaining how to best materialize our suggestions. He has a team of hard working professionals, always correct and punctual. We intend to continue working with him to remodel our basement.
