David Pearce

Mr. Pearce was responsive to my telephone call for service. Came to my home to look at the windows and promised to get back to me the next week or so. He NEVER followed up. After two weeks I contacted VA Window Repair who responded the same day and returned the next week with the needed parts to fix both the window sash and the fogged glass. VA Window Repair was prompt, responsive and professional. Dave Pearce was not.

One of my windows broke at 10pm at night and I freaked out.  Dave came early the next morning and fixed my window so that at least it wasn't open to the outside.  I ordered the windows and about 3-4 weeks later my windows were replaced from 8am to 3pm.  The house was a mess afterwards, but he came by later that day and replaced my blinds as before.  He delivered everything as promised and took my complaints seriously.

From October 10 to December 18, RMI was remodeling my tiny 80 sq ft bathroom.  Randy is very professional and takes his work seriously.  However, they took a while and it was clear that my project was not a priority- which I do understand.  The price is fair for the quality of work they did.  (About $1200 above the estimate since I picked more expensive tile and countertop than they had allowed for.)  They are a legitimate service with permits, insurance, and final inspection by the county.  They had subcontractors that I did not have to arrange everything with.  They handled a situation where a worker took a piece of fruit from my kitchen well. I felt that the work was good.  It just took forever.  My house is a little bit worn as a result, but I suspect it is normal wear and tear after a bathroom renovation. I did run into a huge snag when they realized that my bathtub had been cracked after all the tile had been put in which meant another 1-2 weeks of retiling and putting in a new bathtub.  You do have to keep on top of ordering things on time- He had me order something late that put back my completion date back about 3 weeks.  In the end, I love my bathroom, it works OK and it's done.
