I don't know how you could do better than working with David on home improvement projects. He is METICULOUS and his projects are perfect when they are done. He's also the only person I've ever worked with who often either comes in under budget or does something a little better than you had requested without charging you extra. He's also pleasant to be around - something that was important for me as I was home with a newborn baby during most of his work. We just moved to a new house so had a lot that we wanted to do. First off was painting. David came out to the house immediately after closing to give us estimates and was ready to start work just a few days later. He and his crew worked LONG hours, but ensured that in just 2 days all of the important rooms (like the kids rooms!) were complete before we moved our stuff and family in. And of course they were painted meticulously and the crown moulding installed perfectly. After I picked out crown moulding for the dining room that David didn't think would stand up over time, he drove all over trying to find something similar but better quality. He ended up making something out of three pieces of wood - it is BEAUTIFUL - and although it was a lot more work he didn't charge us extra. The downstairs powderroom was another example of David doing the job RIGHT. To save money, we weren't going to relocate the plumbing. But we all agreed the room would look better if we did. Just as he started, David offered to split the plumbing cost with us - he said the room really would look better. We agreed and he was absolutely right. Oh - and he put in a new outlet (his suggestion) at no cost. The job was done in just over a week and the room is gorgeous. Crown moulding, bead board wainscotting, all new fixtures, new floor. We love it. The biggest project was our wall of built ins that includes a lot of media components. We designed it together and it included a lot of carpentry work as well as some electrical. The wall is GORGEOUS and everything is, again, meticulously done. He sprayed the cabinet doors instead of using a paintbrush to ensure no brush marks. David and his crew are all pleasant to be around - my kids love them. They are always here when they say they will be, and very careful about cleaning up before they leave. His prices are reasonable. I recomend them wholeheartedly.
