CONKLYN'S FLORIST

My initial contact was with David Hicks. He seemed helpful on the phone, but after emailing him pictures of the arrangements I liked he never contacted me. I then put in a customer online request form with the same information hoping I would get a response. I did not. I then called again and spoke with Leslie. She was very helpful and she pulled up my email with my flower selections and I decided to purchase 2 arrangements. Each arrangement would hold a picture and I would bring them the day before the funeral. One was to have flowers along the left side and bottom of the picture and the other was to be a wreath of flowers. I met with Leslie the day before the funeral and gave her the pictures. we went over the design and even looked at the flowers that would be used. The day of the funeral I was very upset to see that both of the arrangements were not at all what we had discussed. There were only flowers along the bottom of both pictures and the the rest of it was filled in with large leaves. So heartbreaking as this was my Mother's funeral and I had gone to great lengths to assure there was no confusion. I returned to Conklyn's the next day (each trip there was a $20 taxi ride or a 4 mile walk ) and showed Leslie pictures of the delivered arrangements. She seemed to genuinely be disappointed both in the order and herself for not assuring that the order was done correctly. She did refund the total amount but that does not make up for the disappointment and upset on my part on a day when I did not need anymore stress. If Conklyn's can disregard customer requests when given specific pictures and guidelines personally, they can not be trusted to fill orders telephonically either. I would not recommend using them for any occasion.
