October 2024 Once again, the expert installers from Color Flooring did an excellent job of installing new wall-to-wall carpeting in my primary bedroom. I was especially pleased on how quickly they installed the carpeting after I placed the order. Thank you Reza and team!

We hired Color Flooring on Telegraph Rd. to work on renovations in every room in our house. We have had many contractors in our house over the last 21 years and this time was the worst experience by far. Positives - They did a beautiful job on the kitchen floor. They took a long time due to issues removing the old floor, but they did it the right way. Also, they did a great job installing new backsplash, adding beautiful wainscoting, and redesigning our fireplace surround and mantle. That’s where the good work ends. There was zero communication despite our repeated requests for information, scheduling, etc. The painters and other workers were awful - very little wall prep and very sloppy work. We will have to hire someone else to fix the myriad problems with the paint job. The counter installation was horrendous (thankfully, this was fixed), and the appliance installation was bad (still needs to be fixed). The very small amount of work needed in our bathrooms was not done well and not completed. We decided to cut certain projects from our list because we lost confidence in the workers. Finally, despite numerous admonitions on our part, the workers (who had a key) did not lock doors or windows.

Phenomenal service! From the manager who greeted us at the store and showed talk through our needs and options on the sales floor (and was onsite for the first day of work) to the crew who leveled the sub-floor and installed laid the tiles (at lightning speed), these guys were the definition of professionalism. Everyone on the team was punctual, polite, and respectful of our home. They took care not only in the work itself but in cleaning up afterwards. The crew even moved our heavy couch back into place without us mentioning (or expecting it).
We had to re-do our finished basement floor and baseboard after a flood. We had spent months getting quotes on fixing the water issues and looking for someone to put in new flooring. We had selected another vendor, who ultimately told us they could not do the work until the sub-floor was leveled (which they couldn't do). We said goodbye to them and found Color Flooring pretty much by chance. And I am so glad we did! If only we'd found them first, we could have saved so much time and stress! And the floor looks amazing.

He came to measure the house.  He gave me a written note of an estimated quote.  I never heard back with an official quote.  My sister has used them and liked them.

Except for the tile we have had to have all work re-done. The experience was a disaster. The wood floor buckled, and 4 separate estimates for replacement all warranted the same comment from new companies that we had solicited to fix it - it was unfixable, had been improperly installed (everyone asked me if I had installed it myself), and the wrong type of product had been used for our floor in the first place. Color flooring had recommended the product after inspecting the house! They visited the house several times over the months and years that followed to attempt to knock boards back into place, and in one case used Elmer's Wood Glue to try to glue boards end-to-end to keep them form moving. Each time I grew more agitated and the floor continued to deteriorate before our eyes. The only reason they tried to help was to keep me from posting things like this review or keep the county off their backs as I eventually filed a complaint with Fairfax County. Finally they refused to address the problem entirely and kept saying too bad it was out of warranty. It quickly became clear to me that they had been visiting the house to SEEM like they were concerned and could help only to get the product and installation out of warranty so they could ignore us. They also exposed what subsequent installers believe was old asbestos adhesive and rather than leave it alone (which is OK) they tried to scrape it up (NOT OK). We had to have OSHA from the state file a report. They said that since they weren't here while the company was installing they could not press any charges but they subsequently put them under a mandatory inspection program that, to my knowledge, may still continue. Bottom line, the job we had done cost us more than double in every regard because we have had to replace nearly everything they did except for a few square feet of tile in the entry way. This report is more timely than it may appear since we had been trying to get the company to do the right thing - working with the county as arbitor - through 2011. Finally, the flooring became so hazardous - with cracks and gaps that collected mold and mildew, splits, and buckling - that we had to replace everything. Not only did this company fail in every regard to do everything for which they were hired, but they put my family's health at risk with the asbestos situation totally unnecessarily, lacked any professionalism and candor whatsoever, had zero regard for professional or moral standards, and then lied to the county to cover up their negligence. My experience with Color Flooring was by far the worst contractor experience anyone could ever imagine - for your own sake I hope anyone reading this posting heeds the advice to stay away from this company.

Overall very happy with finished product. Only glitch (and it was a biggie) is that they only included two flight of stairs in measurement and not the third flight. Discovered this problem during the installation but still was cheapest of the three places we got estimates from. Excellent installation and quality carpet.

They are great.  They are very reliable.  They are in the middle for pricing, but fair pricing.  I wasn't totally happy with just like one section of the grouting, and they came back to fix it right away.  They want the work to be done right.

It went great! They were timely, the estimate was correct, and they did higher quality of work than I was expecting.

Floors looked great. After a few months, large gaps developed between many of the boards. Color Floors was unresponsive in repairing or even looking at the floors, which were substandard. I called them multiple times and was disregarded.
