+ -1 moreCharlie came well recommended to me by friends who did much larger construction projects. He and all his workers were extremely professional and delightful to work with. The only reason I gave a "B" on the price was that since he was on a Hardie Plank dealer, he could not get as good a price on the material as a sponsored dealer. However, the quality of the work and my confidence in him made that not a issue. Gary, his carpenter, was a perfectionist in all his work and did a few extras along the way such as adjusting the fit of the windows and screens that were a bit out of line due to settlement issues. The contract did not include painting but Charlie led me to the painter he often worked with so the whole job ran smoothly.
Description of Work: Replace old siding on Cape Cod-style house with Hardie Plank siding: removed old siding, relined house with Tyvek, installed new siding, replaced old wood on soffit as necessary. Removed six original columns on front portico, rebuilt columns matching original trim style, replaced old wood on portico as necessary. Replaced all gutters on front of house with new 6" gutters. Temporarily removed gutter at back of house to replace some rotted wood and reattached after new soffit was painted.
