Fantastic. José at Climatrol and his team did a super job. They worked clean and were very professional. They got the work done efficiently. Everyone wore masks. They were pleasant and polite. The work went well. Climatrol was initially engaged to provider a basic servicing of our furnace unit. However, the service technician identified a potentially dangerous situation with the black gas pipe connection. The fitting was joined inside furnace unit when code required connection to be exterior to the furnace unit. The technician quickly remedied the situation following our approval.

The service provided was prompt, efficient, and appeared to be competently performed with an adjustment in the price when I signed a full service contract and told the provided that I was a member of Angie's List. I will probably contact Climatrol to perform the recommended and much more expensive cleaning and mold removal service in the future.

The provider was very responsive and worked quickly. The AC on our rented out house died and Climatrol was quick to respond and gave us good estimates and was honest about the repairs. We decided to just replace the whole unit based on Climatrol's review of the AC.

We had a wonderful experience with Climatrol. The owner is professional, honest, and responsive both in person and by phone. He worked with us on price and made good suggestions, even telling us questions to ask other companies. He is extremely pleasant and went out of his way to accommodate our needs. We like to support local family-owned businesses and were lucky to have found a jewel in Climatrol. During the process of selling a house and remodeling a condo all within a few months, this company was one of our best experiences. We would highly recommend them.

They are a small company and it is like a guy and his brother. They are always very courteous and if they are going to be late they call you, they always spread the little duties, they tell you everything that they are doing and they finish the job.

Jose, owner of Climatrol, responded same day that I called him to ask if he could check out the AC problem I was having. He was very respectful of my home and time. He tried something to start the compressor that, if it worked, he would charge me, if not and further action was needed he would not charge me. It ended up not working and the entire unit required replacement, so I was not charged for the initial service he provided. The next day his brother Ray was at my door first thing in the AM to get started on removal of the borken equipment, while Jose was at the store waiting for it to open so he could purchase a new unit and get it installed that day...it was all done in less than 24 hours from when I called him about the problem. The price was excellent for full unit replacement. They protected my floors and carpets and left no trace that they had been there, the debris was removed promptly and he kept me informed of everything throughout the replacement.
Jose and his brother Ray are great to work with. They seemed to care about their work and my home like I was part of their own family and charged fair prices. I think that is rare to find that type of contractor and I will certainly use them again in the future. I even signed up for their bi-annual inspection/maintenanct plan.

I called an asked for a furnace maintenance yearly visit. I found Jose on Angie's List and he was close to my home. He arrived promptly and serviced/cleaned my unit. He advised that the system was old and seemed to be cracking and should be replaced and that I should make sure my carbon monoxide detectors were working properly because of the system and the old rusting duck work. I asked for a quote and he emailed me a quote the next day. I felt his service was prompt and he was courteous and friendly, however I went with another firm that had lower pricing.

I called Jose based on the reviews on Angieslist - my first time using the list. He was polite, promptly returned my call and scheduled the appointment. I told him I had called based on his reviews, and Jose thanked me for the opportunity. I have never had a repair person say that before. Ray, the technician, called a half hour before arrival and was on time. He was polite, thorough, performed an inspection, showed me the state of the interior of my dated HVAC system using an extendable camera, and cleaned the furnace. We're hoping I will get one more year out of it. I signed up for the twice yearly inspection program. I was pleased to hear that unlike the last company I used, this one actually has real 24-hour service. Ray told me they try to schedule no more than eight housecalls a day (besides emergencies of course), so they can provide more personalized service. Thank you Angieslist! Thank you Jose and Ray.

While I was on vacation my AC went out and I returned to a very hot home! Using advertisements in the local neighborhood and coupon magazines I looked at the reviews of those companies listed in Angie's List for comparison. In calling three, only Climatrol was able to fit me in today and actually had someone in the area that could be there within an hour and a half! Jose was pleasant and handed me his card immediately. He even used the little booties when walking through my house although I told him there was no need. He had everything he needed with him and within 10 minutes had diagnosed the problem. He suggested we try the booster first and if that didn't work I might need a new compressor, but he thought that was the least expensive and quickest way to go before installing a new compressor and had the booster installed and the AC blowing in minutes! He told me that should get me through the summer and to give it 45 minutes to cool everything down to normal. I was relieved I did not need an entire new unit, nor did Jose try to pressure me into one. I decided to take him up on the maintenance agreement, although my "handyman" fiance' usually takes care of most of those things, because a little extra care and service of my heating and AC may be a good thing in the long run.

My husband called Climatrol on a Saturday afternoon when the air conditioner in our house stopped working. Jose came to the house that afternoon to assess the problem. He indicated to my husband that the problem existed with the blower and that he would try and find one an fix it early the following week. Jose was able to find the part on Monday morning and installed it into the system Monday afternoon. The air conditioner is working great now. His good service is especially appreciated as I am 7 months pregnant and was out of town for the weekend. I appreciated that he worked hard to find the part so we only had to spend one night with no air conditioning (no fun). We would definitely hire Jose and Climatrol again. Very professional, responsive, and fair-priced.

I called Climatrol to get a second opinion after receiving a suspicious estimate by another company (seemed like the goal was to push a new AC unit rather than determining whether the existing unit could be fixed). The reason given by the prior company was a bad compressor, which was explained as the heart of the unit.
Jose of Climatrol came out and determined that the compressor was locked but explained that a booster could be used to try to restart the unit and there was a 50/50 chance that it would work. The other company never mentioned use of a booster, and when asked if there is anything that could be done to get the unit to work, they said no (essentially leaving us without AC).
Upon attaching the booster to the unit, the compressor started and the AC began to work. Jose also explained that the freon level would need to be lowered so that the unit is running efficiently and not overcharged. The indoor coils were cleaned to make sure air flowed through the system.
Overall, it was a very pleasant experience working with Jose of Climatrol. He took his time to explain things, sought to get the unit running at better capacity, and was very professional. In the days of the recent heat wave, I have had to follow-up with him to address coldness of air issues, but the AC is still running. He has been very responsive and provided good customer service. I look forward to working with him as we try to get the AC unit running at optimum level.

Very satified with the education and communication from the installer. And, after 30 days of warm/hot weather the AC system is working fine. The installer called back to ensure I was completely satisfied. They spent the required time to do the job right in one day.

Jose of Climatrol came to look at my ancient HVAC unit which was working but not producing any air cooler than about 80 degrees. He identified the problem as a lack of freon coolant and ran some tests to determine how much coolant was needed. He then added the appropriate amount and my unit started producing blessedly cool air. I called Climatrol on a Friday morning after a long week of extremely hot weather after another company that I usually use said the next appointment they could offer me was Monday morning. Within 2 hours of my call Climatrol showed up and competently fixed the problem. I will use them again for future HVAC maintenance and recommend them others as well.

My very ancient AC would not turn on, so I called Climatrol and Jose was able to come out at the last minute when all the other companies I called were closed. He was courteous, friendly, and very professional. Did not overcharge or recommend things I didn't need. I will be using them again.

Last summer, I had Climatrol install a high efficiency A/C system. Yesterday, Jose gave it a checkup prior to the beginning of the season. He checked the air handler in the attic and the outside compressor. All the measurements were perfect and everything is working great. As always, Jose was punctual and professional. He has maintained my A/C and heating systerms for years and I couldn't receive better, more skilled serivce.

Jose was punctual, responsive, and professional at the start. I contacted him based on Angie's List recommendations. He checked my (old, not-maintained) HVAC system in a recently purchased foreclosure condo. He advised me about 80% accurately, but the inaccuracies were costly. He informed me that my heat pump wasn't working at all, when in fact it was working, but simply shutting off immediately due to a filthy air filter and coil. (Due to this mis-information, I contacted my home warrenty company and had to pay a $100 fee to be told that the heat pump was working and they wouldn't fix it.) Jose also informed correctly me that my electrical disconnect box was in bad shape. However, later technicians who came refused to leave my condo until the box was fixed or turned off, stating that it was a dangerous fire hazard - which I assume that Jose should have done. After this experience, I contacted Jose to inform him of his mistake. He was defensive and argued with me. I asked him to refund my money. Initially he refused. Eventually he did refund a portion of the service agreement that I had paid. I appreciated his responsiveness and his eventual agreement to refund a portion of my money, but overall it was not a good experience.

"Member, we are very professional and honest company. The cost of the service was $70.00. And we recommended to repair your system but you did not authorized any work. You wanted to call your home warranty insurance and have them fix your unit at no charge. You did call us back after your home insurance told you they would not cover the existing problems in your system. You wanted us to give you $100 off towards the repairs because you had paid the insurance deductible of $100. Plus you wanted 10% discount on top of the $100. We have all paper work to back us up. if any member from Angie's list would like to read it we will be more than happy to let them judge us and you by themselves. We are very sorry if you paid another contractor and end up paying more than what we quote you. We can not work for free. You were trying to take advantage of your insurance and our service and it didn't go your way. Overall it was not a good experience working with you. Thank you."
