Canâ  t say enough good things about the work they did. It was excellent. The crew Eddie, Winston, Matt and Mark were top-notch professionals. Eddie and Winston, who were on site most every day, did great work, paid close attention to every detail and went above and beyond our expectations. Everyone who worked on this project, which was an entire upstairs remodel, including two bathrooms, did quality work I would not heat to recommend this company to family and friends.

Mark with Carmon Contracting was wonderful. He was very communicative about the process, easy to reach when needed, and extremely professional. He quickly set up installation of a new roof and gutters with his team. Nelson and his crew replaced the roof and gutters in a day and a half and we couldn’t be happier with the work. The team also replaced our shutters with upgraded 3-board and batten shutters which look great. We are so pleased with Mark and his team, and look forward to using them again for future projects.

They did superior work, found my problem within 45 minutes and fixed it. But they seemed a bit pricey. They were always on time, but had a practice of calling the night before to say they were coming next morning. Not much advance notice. Even so, I would gladly call on them again--fantastic work, honesty and quality.

I used Carmon Contracting to completely finish my basement and add an egressed window. I had initially contacted several contractors for estimates, and I'm so glad I ended up using Carmon. The initial consultation went great, and far beyond what the other contractors had done for their consults. Chris Carmichael came to my house and spent a lot of time measuring and inspecting the area, and listened carefully to me and what I wanted. He did a thorough job providing the estimate, and spent as much time as I needed to understand the costs and process, which was really helpful, and made the process less intimidating. He took the time to answer all my questions and had many excellent ideas which were eventually incorporated into the final project. Also, Chris was extremely knowledgeable with regard to code requirements, and knew more about Virginia building laws than other companies. That in itself was something that really stood out to me, and made me feel a lot more secure in initiating such a large project on my home. Once the job started, everything Chris outlined went exactly as planned. The crew, headed by Eddie, was always on time and worked on my project diligently and with expertise. Eddie fully addressed any concerns or questions I had, and the crew always left the worksite very clean and organized. Anyone I spoke to knew their tasks and each worked with proficiency to complete. Winston, who worked most days, was pleasant and very skilled. As a team, Eddie and Winston provided me answers and a wealth of informationâ especially concerning the cutting of my cinderblock wall, to install the egress window. Overall, Carmon was really professional, thorough, and consistent, which made this process so much easier and less-stressful. The basement is now complete (ceiling, walls, flooring, closets, outlets, lighting) with a very nice egressed window. It looks great, and I couldnâ t be happier with the results. It was a real pleasure working with Carmon Contracting!

You hear a lot of horror stories when you embark on a major renovation. Not with Carmon. Everyone should have the pleasure of working with Mark, Joe, Eddie, and Winston. In a way, they became part of the family as they were working in and around the house - trusted, respectful, courteous, and smart. They're problem solvers, and never "upsell" or try to get you to do more than is necessary. They keep their word - they arrive when they say they will, and leave the job site with minimal dust, debris, or trash. Most importantly, they're true craftsmen - from how they build the estimates, all the way though the detail, point-up, and finish work. Everything was done to with a high degree of quality and attention to detail. I can't recommend them enough! If you're considering a renovation, do yourself a favor and add Carmon to the list. You won't be disappointed!

Mark was very professional. I really appreciated how fast he responded with any questions I had. He worked with us to plan our hardwood floor and drywall repair while we were out of town. This made the whole process less distruptive and smooth. It was nice to come home and have the damage repaired and brand new. Very trustworthy and plan to use in the future.

Mark and Joe were both Great. We saw one or the other each day and sometimes both in the same day. The installers were great also. They covered the carpet to keep in clean and were friendly. They started on time and ended on time. This was a bathroom remodel. Had the tub removed and put in a shower. Walls were removed and flooring. The finished product was nice. They only problem I had was that it was priced with fixtures of better quality but recieved cheaper ones. I was told they cost more then priced.

The Carmon team began with a major demolition followed by installation of new drywall, carpeting, painting, lighting and modernized wiring for our digital equipment. The finished product looks magnicifient!

Great company. Mark is super friendly and quick to get back to you. I will definitely be calling them again if I need any more work done in my house. Priced very competitively.

Needed a complete demo and remodel of a tiny restroom in my 1960s high-rise condo, where nothing is standard or normal. Mark worked initially with me to assist with the planning, estimates, and purchasing. The crew that arrived to do the work were expert, professional, efficient, friendly, and never hesitated to inform me of issues or ask for my direction on aspects of the work. Despite having to deal with solid cement walls that were not level and made everything from re-tiling to electrical outlets to placing the vanity cabinet extra difficult, a cement floor that had to be repoured after the old tile was pulled up, and a lot of very old plumbing that had to be replaced and the wall rebuilt, and a door made from scratch, they remained upbeat and reassured me that it wasn't a problem, it was what they did. The project did take a few extra days beyond the initial estimate, but due solely to those unforseen issues listed above. The final result is beautiful and I'm extremely happy. I won't hesitate to call them again on any future projects.

Demoed old, water & insect damaged bathroom, repaired and/or replaced damaged joists, plates and studs, installed new sub floor, relocated/replaced old electrical wiring and plumbing for code and location reasons. Installed ProPanel shower and floor system, installed tile in the shower floor to ceiling, with painted drywall and tile wainscot in the remainder of the bathroom. Installed all new bathroom fixtures. They turned an old, damaged bathroom into a new, attractive, modern bathroom. Main contact was Chris Carmichael from the original estimate through project completion. He was always prompt and professional in everything he did. Any questions or concerns I had were immediately taken care of. Almost the work was performed by 2 men, Eddie and Winston. These guys are very talented at all the trades they perform. They showed up on time every day, worked hard, made few if any mistakes, maintained a clean, organized work area and were always pleasant with a good sense of humor. They installed drop cloths from the front door, up the stairs, through the hallways to the work area. They covered all the furnishings in the adjoining bedroom to prevent dust problems. These things were installed at the start of each work day and removed at the end of the day. All trash and construction debris was removed from the site daily. Chris was very helpful in selecting materials and fixtures. All materials and fixtures arrived on site on time. I spent a couple of decades as a contractor and in the construction trades and this was the best run small construction job I've seen in a long time.

Carmon Contracting came in to fix dangerous and poor work done by a previous contractor, Green Frog Home Improvement. Chris from Carmon Contracting worked with me every step of the way explaining everything that they planned to do and everything that they did in detail all while making sure it was done correctly and professionally. All of the workers they used were extremely competent and friendly. I plan to use them to remodel my kitchen and see no need to even bring in others for estimates.

They did a wonderful job! The were very timely, kept me informed on all steps of the project and were cheaper then the two other competitors I received a quote from.

The employees at Carmon did an excellent job from the very beginning; from their initial walk-thru and job cost quote to the quality of work of finished product. We have used them for other small home updating projects and their cost and time estimates on all jobs have been accurate and the quality of their work is terrific. The whole team is highly professional and reliable. We have found a permanent group to help maintain our home.

They show up on time every day, they are very meticulous about their work and always clean up after themselves. They are very good in assisting you with options/choices. Their quality is top notch, and their prices are affordable. They take a lot of pride in their work, and are very detail oriented. The communication is great between them and I as well.
