Burke & Herbert Bank

I wanted to try a local bank for my refinancing of my own house. I have a great credit score, good income and good equity in my house. Their loan department knew about a business partner land foreclosure (from years ago) I voluntarily mentioned from the beginning, and chose to give me a run around for two months and later turn down the loan at the last minute for that very reason. I should have figured them earlier by having to wait for an appraiser for over one month, and the appraiser not even getting the number of bedrooms and baths right, let alone the appraisal itself. Very disappointed at this unprofessional bank, and I don't think they know what they are doing. I certainly don't recommend anybody to waist their time with theses guys.

Branch manager Shea Foster opened our account for us. She was efficient and super nice. The atmosphere in the bank was classy and quiet. Their basic checking account is completely free with no restrictions other than $25 to open.

I liked the convenience, ease and professionalism of their service. I used this bank because I have several accounts with them.

Overall, their service has been great. We have been using them for about four years now.

I have used them for about 15yrs. I was sick of the bank changing its name... This bank has been around for years, they are still owned and operated by the family..they are not flashy they just provide good service they are very friendly and local community..
