Description of Work: I took my bike in for a tune up after a winter in storage. They said they'd call when it was done, but never did. When I called nearly a week later they said it had been done for days. The bike runs smoothly but I'm not sure exactly what they did and it it was really worth the cost.

Description of Work: Asked them to attach my new seat that my son and I couldn't get done. They didn't ignore me though someone else was being served when I went in. Told me to be back in 15 minutes. I came back in an hour. Seat done perfectly. No charge. Parking a bit of an issue bike there if you can.

 + -1 moreRan in with a wheel that had a valve stem that disappeared. While we waited, they fixed the problem. They didn't even charge us. They do work at fair prices, and give great and fast service. They are the best in Alexandria.
Description of Work: The shop has frequently fixed flats, added accessories,, and done what is necessary to keep a bike running. This time they fixed a valve stem on a tire we had bought there. For free!!! That is a delightful change from some of the service received at other nearby shops.

 + -1 moreA tremendous experience to bail me out of a bad situation I was on a bike ride on the Mount Vernon Trail. My wife and I stopped for lunch in Alexandria. I notice a part the tread on my bike ws torn and I could see the inner liner of the tire. We stopped into the shop to see what they recommended. Being 8 miles from home, I did not want to take too much risk. They confrimed my fears that I needed an new tire right away. I did not have my credit card with me, only enough cash for lunch and maybe a cab ride home. They offered to fix the bike and let me call in a credit card when I got home! Amazing trust in this day and age. They fixed the bike in less than 15 minutes and I was back on the trail. Called in the credit card when I got home with great appreication. I now have a new, high quality rear tire on my back. We live around the corner from another Big Wheel Bikes location that has also served us well. No question that my next bike related purchase or repair will be at a BIG WHEEL BIKES location.
