Mario Avalos is a conscientious, knowledgeable and efficient person who strives to assists his customers in all requested tasks that will make their projects the successful venture they envision. His rates are reasonable and he does not state a figure and change it or lengthen the time period once these details have been settled on.  He is clear on what he can do, how long it will take, the materials needed and the cost of the project. The most impressive trait I observed is his innate ability to really let you know he is "actively listening" to your concerns, questions etc. That is a talent that is in short supply with most contractors today. This ability to listen to and relate with others was effectively supplemented with patience. His competence and dedication to assisting me were the most significant factors in the success of many projects on my property.  His true character was shown when after my wife passed he came by to offer condolences and insisted he help my with numerous difficult tasks and did so for 2-3 days "non-gratis." Obviously he did not need to do this but stated it was the least he could do for a fine decent lady of whom he respected a great deal.  Thank you Mario.

It was my good fortune to meet and work with him. It will be your good fortune, if he works for you. I believe he would make significant and positive contributions to whatever project, task, or details he is hired to perform. He certainly went above and beyond whatever requests and details I asked him to perform. I will continue to hire him as long as wants to work for me.

Mario does very good work and when you have questions or concerns, he will come back until he gets it to your satisfaction.  He is very personable and responds to E mails daily.  My deck looks beautiful and his attention to detail on woodworking and painting projects has been excellent.  He rebuilt my wood trim around doorway (front and rear) with wood composite that will require little maintenance and probably outlast the house!  I have used him several times for projects.  Sometimes he has emergencies that come up with his other staff, that might cause him to leave for a few hours and then return, but he always comes back to finish the job.  He is also very honest and trustworthy.  Recently he refinished and repainted my front wrought iron railings and did a fabulous job.

Mario has worked w/ our neighborhood with gutter cleaning. The civic association gets a cleaning list and Mario gives us excellent prices and service, usually cleaning everyone's gutters in one day. He also gives nice discounts to senior citizens. If you're looking for a group discount, it's worth the effort to line up the customers and provide him a list of names and addresses after negotiating fair prices. After being the neighborhood "coordinator" for these efforts, I knew I could trust his work and work ethic. When he suggested the composite boards, I asked around and found out the material is actually more difficult to work with, and the suggestion was honestly for the long view - superior materials that won't warp and will not require maintenance. Unlike vinyl, the appearance won't warp.

I had hoped to have the roof replaced during warmer weather, but after an extremely heavy rainfall it was evident that I had a major roof leak and I could not delay the replacement without serious property damage. Mario works fast, is professional, and truly cares about his workmanship. And he guarantees his work. Mario also replaced a burned out attic exhaust fan and reported on the "health" of the gutters.
