Angie was very patient throughout the buying process. She showed me many properties. I almost went through with buying one property that turned out to have maintenance issues, which we discovered through the home inspection she arranged and accompanied me with. She was understanding when I decided not to go with that property. Luckily we found another property that was in better condition. Throughout the process, she had great recommendations for certain services.  I still keep in touch with her and ask her questions from time to time. She responds like I am still her client. I would highly recommend her for buying a home. You can trust her.

I wrote the pope and nominated Angie for sainthood. I cannot say enough about how fantastic she was. I was a first time homebuyer in Arlington. I was working with FHA, VHDA, and more to get my financing together. Angie was quite possibly the most knowledgeable person on earth about this stuff. She teaches first time homebuyer classes for Arlington County by the way. Also, she?s a Certified Public Accountant, which if you buy a house, you?ll begin to appreciate how this makes her worth her weight in gold when explaining things to you, and protecting you. She discovered that I could even save half a percent off my rate because of some obscure Arlington county SPARC program. When we realized that funding expired 12/31/10, she somehow used her connections to get a friend of hers, who works for the County, to come into work on New Year?s Eve to get me approved in time! She showed up on New Year?s day to do the home inspection with me (see my rating about home inspector Jim Vaughn also). She got stuck out at the house I was buying, working for me, during ?thundersnow? and spend 4 hours getting home. She received and returned calls and emails at all hours. When I couldn?t get off work to go to closing, Angie again used her connections to get the settlement company, The Settlement Group (also great), to work after 5:00 on a Friday! She helped me finagle more money from the seller in closing costs that I should have gotten. Actually, she got me 100% of closing plus a few miscellaneous extras that you wouldn?t even think possible. She?s like a financial contortionist. I?m not even sure the seller realized what happened until after closing. She managed to get the county Arborist, via connections, to come and look at the house to make sure the trees were all safe. No charge to me. She made sure the seller did the repairs they were supposed to do (and definitely more). Small things like getting screens in all the windows and big things like she found a roofer to inspect the roof (this was sort of an emergency issue just before closing) at 8:00 at night, when it was snowing! We had the trickiest, slimiest, most unethical seller (house flipping company) to deal with. Angie was caught in the middle of my frustration and the seller?s non cooperation. They were trying to push me out after we had a contract, lying to me about work they had done, and often non communicative. Angie never gave up and always handled herself gracefully and professionally. She even had to file a formal complaint against them. Ultimately, Angie and I prevailed and I got the house, all within 30 days. The pressure was immense due to the time constraints, the holidays, snow, and the seller from h***, but somehow, she made it happen. She?s a top selling agent in Northern Virginia. She knows everything from Ashburn to Alexandria like the back of her hand. She speaks English and Spanish perfectly. She doesn?t have much internet publicity, presumably, because she doesn?t need to sell herself. But if you want an agent who is trustworthy, punctual, responsive, extremely competent, and will go the extra 3 miles for you, Angie Curry is who you?re after.
