American Residential Construction

Of the several major remodels we have had in the 34 years we have owned our home, this was by far the best experience. We could not be more pleased. Chris and his crew were always here on time,and they worked efficiently and carefully; they were respectful of the many scrubs, plants, and ground covers in their limited work area, and they cleaned up after themselves at the end of each workday. But the bottom line is they did superb work. They built a beautiful new tongue and groove floor and an extraordinarily elegant beaded wood roof for the porch, requiring carefully fitted joints and great attention to detail. Chris, one of the two owners of this small company, is also a master craftsman of fine furniture--and this background and skill is apparent in the attention to detail he showed in constructing our porch. Chris insisted on carefully matched wood boards for our ceiling and unbroken 20 foot lengths so no seams would show (not requirements on our plan). This required him to go to several suppliers to obtain the material we needed to complete the job. He did the same for our floor boards. The job was completed by the agreed upon time, cost us significantly less than asked by the other bidders (which included medium sized and small companies), and--most importantly--was beautifully and well executed by people who obviously take great pride in the quality of their work. American Residential is a first rate small company. I heartily recommend them.
