Wonderful staff and great service-- helpful, punctual, cheerful, knowledgeable. I will use them from now on!

We choose Alexandria Picture Framing Co. because they were clearly artisans of the trade, and not just focused on the business. They also spent a significant amount of time providing suggestions, taking special care with the large (and expensively printed) photos we brought with us. In addition to the excellent advice provided, we were also allowed to go seek out frames and mattes that we thought would work. Based on their excellent work and their ability to team with us to discover what we wanted and what would work, we were extremely satisfied with them. In contrast, we walked into the competitors shop and it was completed cleansed of all the trappings of framing, with the exception of the very sparse work on the walls. In addition, the guy in the competitors shop jumped right into what we could do for framing options with the one photo we brought out instead discussing the estimates we requested. When we again asked for the estimates, they guy just did a brisk run through of approximate options. Ultimately, the competitors offered a 30% discount, but their base prices were higher and the final price would have been a little less than Alexandria Picture Co. However, we didn't like the very business feel of the shop or the customer service experience, which was in stark contrast to Alexandria Picture Framing Co.

I had three pieces of art reframed..one photograph, one silkscreen, one woodcut

Had a wide selection of frames to choose from. Made good suggestions on using UV-coated glass to protect against fading and inserting a spacer to keep ink on signatures from sticking to glass. Framing was done in the time promised - just under 2 weeks.

Terrific. Delivery was about a week after the date we'd originally discussed, but we weren't in a hurry. The quality was excellent and pricing not dramatically higher than Michaels (who has disappointed me again and again w/inferior quality).

They were very customer focused, and they went out of their way to try and solve my problem. They did a good job with the pictures that they framed, and the pictures were done on time.

APF worked well with me to finalize my framing choices (I already had styles in mind). I placed my order mid-day Monday and it was ready for me mid-day on Friday of the same week. The watercolor was successfully removed from the original backing. The final product is exactly as I envisioned. Very satisfied and looks great on the wall.

Perfectly- they are the best. They help select the right matte and have a great selection of frames to choose from. They care about your work of art too - and appreciate it so they really help you find the right frame.

They were very helpful in selecting the mat and frame, and took extra care to block the needlepoint so that it was square. This took extra time, and they called me to let me know. The final product is excellent!

I having been using Alexandria Picture Framing Co for years. Interior decorators and the White House use them because they are that good. Unfortunately, their quality and close location come at a price. I have since found a cheaper framing place that does great work (Frame Masters), but they are far away from Alexandria so if I cannot get out there, Alexandria Picture Framing Co gets my business.
