Very good expereince. I would us Ron again

Ron responded quickly as I collected multiple estimates. His was the lowest but he seemed capable and dependable and had a good rating on Angie's List. Drew up a contract to protect both of us detailing exactly what was to be accomplished. Finished in the expected time and cleaned up well. Work was excellent quality.

Excellent! He came as scheduled and was businesslike and professional, fixed the door, and gave me advice (not involving him) as to what to do if it happens again. He said the door handle was a "crappy design", but recommended what part to ask for from McLean Hardware if this one doesn't hold.

Ron arrived on time for the estimate, explained exactly what needed to be done and when it would be ready. He arranged a time to return the door around our schedule and the repair looks great, exceeding our expectations. You can't even tell the door was broken.

Ron's worked competently and finished the job within his estimated time-frame. The work was accomplished on a time and materials basis since the project was difficult to quantify. His work was well documented on a professional invoice. Work area was kept neat, clean, and orderly.

Ron was very easy to communicate and deal with. He came when promised, with a whole van load of his own equipment. He did his work in a very exacting and professional manner. I was very satisfied with the repair, which fitted perfectly and after I primed and painted it, was indistinguishable from the rest of the door jam. Although he was initially going to replace the rotten section with Poplar, Ron found a piece of Mahogany for the main repair, so that is what he used. Ron also caulked the area of the repair to prevent a recurrence of the damage and sanded it so that it was ready for me to prime and paint. I noticed Ron rewound and put back in place the power cord he borrowed from my garage and he cleaned up thoroughly when he was done. The whole job, including time for putty and other compounds to dry, took three hours. Not cheap, but I got the professional, exacting work that produced the result I was looking for.

Ron is experienced, prompt, courteous and reasonable. After moving into an older home, I needed help. I would not hesitate to call Ron again when I need a experienced carpenter for further repairs, renovations or installations. I am very satisfied.
