Rock Water Farm is a residential landscape design/build and property maintenance company run by Todd Thomasson. Since 2005 Todd has been working with his team to provide the perfect outdoor living spaces, landscaping, and lawn maintenance for all of Loudoun County and surrounding areas.

I hired RWF to do my townhouse patio. I had an initial concept but this team above all others I interviewed took my design and really advanced it. In addition, they also made sure that the concept was realistic in terms of how it would actually be laid out. Their team is professional and fast. They completed the project well in advance of when I thought they would. They have an awesome communication portal, so it's easy to get in touch and ask questions. If I had any concerns, they responded immediately to clarify and make sure I was happy. The outcome was beautiful but the process of getting there was even more seamless.

They did a superb job. They showed up on time, the work was first-rate professional and they thoroughly restored the surrounding areas. The designs were exceptional (definitely ask for Brittany). We are going to have them do additional work, including a patio. Very highly recommend.

The guys who did the work, worked very hard and it took a few hours for them to complete it. I was very impressed by their hard work, and they cleaned up after themselves! Everything looks beautiful, and much better than it has for awhile. Several people on our street use this business and I can see why!

We can't say enough good things about RWF. They beat everyone else's price and the quality was still very high. In fact...so many of our neighbors were impressed with how our yard looked and the price that RWF gave us, they had their homes put on the rotation list too. I bet they have 10+ homes on our street (several in a row) as RWF customers. We are using them again this coming season.

Services were fine. I wish they would have touched base with me, when they were done. They left a sign when they were done with the work as opposed to a phone follow. I had an overage on the square footage, I had to pay extra for. Other than those hiccups the work was great, I would highly recommend.

Rock Water Farm is taking care of our yard and landscaping. They always have time to stop and say hi as well as explain their current work and any applicable project information.
The management staff are closely involved and visit regularly. Our yard and house have never looked better. Sincere thanks to Todd and Dave and the staff !

The mowing was done as per voucher, they did a great job BUT, after several weeks later I got received a bill for mowing that they did after the 4 mows on the voucher. I wasn't aware they were still mowing my lawn, I thought it was either the neighbors helping out or someone in my household taking care of it and keeping up what landscaping company started. Why would I think they continued to mow when I did not request it or have any contract with them. I didn't think nothing about who was mowing, because all I care is that it was mowed.. so when I did notice it I was like cool, didn't question the household on who mowed it, why would I?? Furthermore, the landscaping company wanted to charge me for the additional 5 mows that I did not request. I never agreed to or asked for additional mowing nor did I sign any contract agreement, but yet he sent me a bill of services.
Upon contacting them, the person did respond in a manner that was not appreciated because he stated he didn't believe that I didn't know they were still mowing, but said they would take care of it. Regardless, I didn't request their service beyond the 4 mows stated on the voucher. They never sent me information on the cost to continue services or even offered additional services. Even when they did do the four mows, there was never a notification like a door sticky that said they came, so again, why would I think it was them when I have able bodies in the home that can mow and normally did the mowing? I just got the voucher to see how the company was, and now I know.

"The voucher was a deal for the first four cuts at a discounted rate in order to earn additional business. I apologize if you were not aware of that and you were in turn not charged for the additional cuts. When I initially setup the deal with the online service, it was launched with incorrect details (on their behalf) and it has taken some time for it to be corrected unfortunately. My team member was questioning only the difference in appearance from a commercial mower (wide and striped) vs a push mower, and some cuts took place on Saturdays. All together, your lawn was actually cut 10 times, we gave you the additional 6 cuts at no charge once we realized what happened and you were taken care of at no expense to you. I am glad you were happy with the guys work and sorry for the misunderstanding. Feel free to reach out directly to me if we can be of any help in the future, we run an honest and open business. We had a fantastic experience with Rock Water Farm. The owner. Todd Thomasson, was involved throughout the project to ensure everything was exactly right. Every single person working for Todd was friendly and professional. They showed up on time and delivered exactly what they promised. Our yard looks beautiful. We have a variety of colors around our pool that will bloom at different times. Also, we have trees and other shrubs that will grow to give us privacy. The front walkway turned out even nicer than we expected. I would definitely recommend this company for both landscaping and hardscaping.

We saw a gentleman spreading "stuff" in our backyard on Sat. morning; however, we weren't even told he'd be coming. I guess it didn't matter since it was outside work, but would have been nice to know. He never came to door and introduced himself at all, which would have been a nice gesture.
Can't rate punctuality as we didn't know he was coming. However, they were punctual in calling us -- we didn't have to call them.

"-Hi [member name removed] and thank you for purchasing our service! The "stuff" was the organic fertilizer we use and we would be happy to show you a sample of it. Due to its size and color, it's not really visible after its applied and we make sure to blow off the hard surfaces as needed. We don't normally have the guys knocking on doors because we want to keep specific lines of communcation open, so that everyone remains on the same page so-to-speak. I must say that the 4" of snow we recieved, and the following rain, made our schedule a little interesting but I'm happy we were able to accomodate your application. Keep in mind this was one applicaiton of the fertilizer and that it will require repeat maintenance of your lawn to keep it in tip top shape. We're playing a little catch up from being closed for Easter Monday and will be in touch with you about your application tomorrow. Take care! -Todd"

We have used Rock Water Farm for several years now. Todd Thomasson (owner) is fully committed to providing a quality, beautiful result for our landscaping needs. We use Rock Water Farm for our regular mowing/lawn maintenance program. Their prices are VERY reasonable and they always do a good job. This year has been particularly wet and there have been a few times that the lawn has gotten muddy as a result in a few areas from the mower. Each time, Todd called us personally and let us know that it would be repaired once the lawn was dry again. This is VERY RARE with most mowing services!
Additionally, we have used Rock Water Farm in the past for several landscaping projects. The work was delivered on time and the result was beautiful. Todd listened to our suggestions and feedback and happily incorporated those into his design. We will continue to use Rock Water Farm for all of our landscaping needs!
