Michael Ferraro designed and installed a radon mitigation system. He surveyed the home and installed a quality system that looks great. Our home in Leesburg had an average radon level of 12. After Michael installed his system we have an average of 0.50. Highly recommended.

The work was performed by the owner of the company, Mike Ferraro. Mr. Ferraro was recommended to us by a neighbor who had a radon system installed as part of a contingency for selling their house. The recommendation to them came from their real estate agent who has worked with Mr. Ferraro multiple times to ensure that homes under contract meet all obligations in time for settlement. Before calling Ferraro Real Estate Services I called two other places (from Angie's List) to ask about estimates. I didn't really care for either company based on the phone calls.
Mr. Ferraro was easy to get in contact with by phone and by email, and was informative. He remembered the job he did for my friends, and knew about our neighborhood. He was able to come out fairly quickly to give us an estimate of what the job would entail and its cost, and the price was fair as compared to similar jobs my neighbors had done.
He thought out the installation of the system, which included having to deal with a basement that only went under half the house, the other half sits on a cement slab at ground level, so required two pipes to be installed. He also carefully thought out the placement of all interior and exterior pipes, placing them in the least obtrusive way possible, which I really appreciate.
He left the site in immaculate condition. You couldn't tell work had been done there recently! The final cost was exactly as quoted, and included a post-installation radon measurement test using a continuous radon monitor. We received a detail report indicating the time, duration, and radon measurement, which came in well below the max EPA threshold of 4.
Overall I was very satisfied with Ferraro Real Estate Services. The only reason I rated Professionalism as Good instead of Excellent was that it took us awhile to get back to Mr. Ferraro about having the work done and he mentioned that in a way that made him seem slightly annoyed. That aside, I would definitely recommend his services.
