They had the most competitive pricing of the vendors we solicited and they seemed to have done a good job for the neighbor. They showed up on time to install the fence but didn't have the safety hardware required by code as discussed with the person who estimated it. When I reached out to them they said they didn't have the hardware and the code for pool fences changed to not require it. I could not confirm what they said but I could not dispute it either. They offered to install hardware if I bought it. The crew was courteous and appeared to do good work. Now that a few months has passed since the fence was installed, the gates no longer latch easily and they haven't responded to requests to come service the fence to address quality issues.

I have no intention or desire to continue working with this contractor and they've made it very clear they do not want to appropriately complete the job. I have never experienced such a blatant display of unprofessional behavior; this entire relationship has been less than subpar. The company takes weeks to respond, if you can even get a response from them, they make up lies to cover up their mistakes, the owner of the company has no ethics or morals to make things right, he showed up to my home unannounced after not hearing from them for almost a month, he showed up with a shirt that was unbuttoned and his stomach was exposed, was demanding payment, etc. He informed me that we would never agree (because he was not willing to fix his employee's laziness) and that it be best that someone else finish the job. Him and his employee began taking the fence down and posts which involved damaging my backyard. Per our contract they've been paid half of the total amount and the second portion to be paid upon completion. The owner of the company said that since "half of the fence wasn't paid for he was going to remove and take half of the fence that was already installed". Currently I have half of a fence up in my backyard. Instead of upholding his portion of the contract, he took it upon himself to breach the paperwork and discontinue the job.

After several estimates we chose Cardinal.   They had the best estimate.  The rep who gave us the estimate seemed very knowledgeable.  As a courtesy follow up, she called and left us a message not too long after the estimate was done.  A few glitches took place after that.  There were a couple of  unreturned phone calls-not quite sure why but from what I gathered there was some miscommunication about our phone number.  We did end up speaking with a very responsive lady in the office who connected us with the company president. The company apologized for any miscommunication and from there things went well.  An appointment was made for the work to begin and the fence was installed in a couple of days.  Installation would have been done in one day but it rained one morning and that caused a slight delay.  The workers were diligent.  We don't have one of those nice flat and even yards so I don't know how they do it -but the fence looks great and we are satisfied.  The whole miscommunication issue was resolved in such a professional way that we now see that as a minor issue and without hesitation we would use this company again.
