Very well. I talked with Randy, who is also an arborist and knows trees. He's experienced and professional but easy to deal with. I asked if late winter would be a good time to top silver maples. He assured that, for this type of maple, it would be okay. He came out that afternoon to give an estimate, which was reasonable, and suggested how the trees should be topped and trimmed. They were able to come out the next day, were on time, and finished in less than half a day including cleanup. He also provided a copy of their insurance certificate (including workman's comp) before the job. They had to trim off more than I hoped, but the trees had a lot of dead branches and needed it. I had confidence in his judgment and experience. He stuck to the estimated cost. They had a good crew.

VERY DISAPPOINTED ? Randy told me they take pride in cleanup, however, they left my yard, porch and driveway a huge mess. Randy offered his four employees bonuses if they finished in four days, so short cuts were taken at my expense. Much of the yard was left covered with wood chips from the stump grinding and there are large holes along with huge indentations everywhere from the falling limbs, wood and trunks. They destroyed part of my flower bed, tore up lots of grass with their equipment and left many tires marks everywhere and did not grind about ten stumps which I paid for. Furthermore, they left about a dozen large and heavy tree limbs hidden in the woods and did not blow off the debris from my driveway and porch. Finally, I was suppose to have grass seed planted where the trees once stood, but instead, Randy told me that it was best to let the dirt and chip grinds settle and then add lime and wait until the Spring to plant the grass seed. I?m sorry to say from my experience that I do not recommend this company since I feel they are more interested in making a quick buck, than doing an honest and professional job. I look at my yard and just want to cry because it is so messed up and this is not what I paid for. UPDATE: Randy returned 5 days later to clean up his mess after many phone calls, but there still are stumps and roots which have not been grinded, and now he says he does not have the equipment to plant the grass seed and Fall time is not a good time to plant because it is too cold. I asked him then why did you say you were going to plant grass seed before you started the job, and he would not answer me. In summary, my yard is still a mess and Randy refuses to take any responsibility for the property damage he caused from the falling limbs and trunks along with torn up grass and my destroyed flower bed from his equipment . He said it's not like my property is the Virginian Golf Club. Note: I had two landscape contractors look at my yard and they said it would take years before the stump grinds would turn into soil where grass could be planted, and contrary to what Randy says, Fall time is a very good time to plant grass seed.

I've used this firm for 15 years. They have removed four dead trees, and ground stumps. Even after storms when they are very busy, they maintain contact until they can get to the job. If a tree doesn't need to be cut, they know what to do, and will not cut it down unnecessarily. They are always polite, punctual, and take extreme care in the cleanup. The yard looks like nothing happened after they leave. I have recommended them to family and neighbors, and the work is always consistently excellent.

This was a great company to do business with. My 76 year old mom had gotten their name from friends who had used them. They came when they said they would to give the estimate. Randy fully explained everything they would do, the equipment they would use and how much the job would cost. He provided a written estimate that had in writing on the contract that they were fully covered with liability insurance and worker's comp. He gave us a date when he would do the work, however, did warn us that that could change if there was rain since he did not want to damage the yard with his equipment. Rain did prevent him from coming, however, every time he was delayed someone called that morning saying they would not be coming. When they did do the work, they did everything they promised for the price quoted...in fact, we had originally only had 9 stumps to grind and did not know we needed limbs trimmed for the new power line. He did the 4 additional stumps and trimmed the trees at no additional charge. Randy was there working alongside his employees. They were efficient and polite and cleaned up after the job was done. Everything was hauled off and the yard was left looking great! I would highly recommend them! Several other companies were contacted for estimates. One never showed, one was offended that I wanted to see proof of insurance and told me "no one carries workers comp in this area." We were extremely pleased with this company. What a pleasure to do business with a gentleman who takes pride in his work and provides honest, ethical, reliable service!
