Marie and her crew are awesome. No matter how bad the pups look when I take them in, and sometimes it is cringe worthy with tangles, they look amazing when I pick them up. Marie does a wonderful job each and every time. I have used Abingdon Pet Grooming for 11 years and prior to that my mother took my childhood dog there too for over 10 years. Marie caters to her customers and always remembers the small special requests I ask for with my dogs that are non traditional for a schnauzer cut. I have also taken some foster dogs in for first grooming experiences with Marie because she knows how to make the experience good for them and not traumatic. All in all, I will always use Abingdon Pet Grooming for my animals and highly recommend them to anyone who asks me about grooming in the area!

Marie takes very good care of my dogs. I dropped them off @ 8:30am. They were beautifully groomed as well as taken out (potty time) and they mix w/ all of Marie's animals.

I take both my dogs to Abingdon Pet Grooming and have done so for the last 8 years. The dogs go each and every Friday to get a bath and pampered. The staff here is AMAZING, Marie is so kind and caring with the animals as well as her staff members and i could not imagine taking the dogs ANYWHERE else. The price is totaly resonable and the treatment they get is great and the dogs always look and smell great when they come home. Abingdon Pet Grooming is so easy to work with to get your animals groomed right before the holidays so they look their best and her staff has even contacted us when the owner is on vacation and asked if we would like them to get a bath. I have had previous dogs that i had take elsewhere before i found Abingdon Pet Grooming and i am 210% sure this is the best place around. My fiance will even bring his dog all the way from The TN side to get his dog groomed. I highly advise anyone who loves their pets and want them treated with excellent care to go here it is the best and i would never go anywhere else...

she looked great when i went to pick her up. then i get home and was carefully looking her over and noticed that she had a small burn place on her back thigh.. i took her to my vet and she said it happened from clippers that were too hot... now her hair will not grow back on that spot.... so, if you love your pet .... and don't want them hurt....don't take them here to be groomed.....

"I am confused because I neither have a record of this client ever being in my shop, nor had our shop groomed a peke-a-poo in the month surrounding the date of the review. Our shop keeps accurate, up to date records on all customers and their pets. There are several grooming shops in the area and many people get them confused. Maybe this customer was reviewing the wrong shop. We are concerned about pet welfare and try to make the grooming process as comfortale, safe and stress free as possible. We stand behind all the work we do and will rectify any problems that occur. I would like to address the issue of clipper burn. It is not a burn, rather an irritation similar to bikini burn on women or rasor burn on men. It usually happens on tummies and cheeks of dogs. I don't think it is possible for a clipper blade to literally burn a dog. The back of the thigh is not a risk area for clipper irritation. I have however, seen hot spots that resemble irritaion and are very hard to heal on the backs of thighs. I am sorry any pet has a bad experience at the groomers. We try to make the trip to the hair dresser as pleasant as possible. It makes my job easier if pets cooperate and enjoy being groomed."
