The Cleaning Authority - Salt Lake City North

I have used them for about 6 years but I had to let them go because the quality of their cleaning deteriorated. They kept leaving my door unlocked after they were done with their services and I didn't like that.

The service is fair.

I like their service. They do a good job. I have had a couple times where things have been broken but they are good about providing for replacements. I have also had to make a few suggestions. They are very reasonable prices and they are also flexible and work with you. They are also very responsive. They also rotate the areas of deep-cleaning so each room gets a deeper cleaning on a rotating schedule which I really like.

They were well organized in that they had a list of things the ladies were supposed to clean. But they have a revolving door for their cleaning ladies and so things were done different each time. I would tell the manager/owner over the phone of issues, but he never seemed to tell his employees because things never got fixed.

Have been very happy with this service for the most part. However, last crew was not as thorough. Seemed rushed.

I got them from Angie’s List and they charged me $128 for the initial cleaning. This is my first time using them and I would recommend them to others.

I had a walk through to determine what areas I wanted cleaned and how often.  The man was very thorough and gave me a bid of what it would cost.  We set up a date for the ladies to start cleaning.
They arrived to clean 3 days later.  I was thrilled that they were on time!  My house was cleaned even better than I expected.  The ladies were friendly and fast.  I am very pleased with this company so far.

We have used the Cleaning Authority for at least two years.  Let's get the bad out of the way first: the way the raise prices.  We started at $88 per biweekly cleaning (2 women for nearly 3 hours - about 5 1/2 man-hours).  They raised it to $93, which we felt was reasonable, and then shortly thereafter raised it to $112.  We thought that was clearly excessive after such a short interval (about 3 months) at the $93 level.  We stopped using their service and searched for another on Angie's List.  After reading some of the troubles others have had, we told the Cleaning Authority to resume their service, provided we got the same two cleaning women we had before.  They agreed, 

Now for the good.  The women who do our house are excellent.  They are very punctual and work hard.  They don't spend a lot of time gabbing or talking on cell phones.  They don't eat food out of our refrigerator.  They are honest (never anything missing).  They are easy to work with and accommodate my wife's preferences.  When we saw some of the problems other list users have reported with other services, we couldn't help but ask their employer to resume servicing us.  Our only concern is that the women themselves (two immigrants from Central America and Mexico) aren't getting a good enough share of the $112 we pay their employer.  They're excellent workers!

I love The Cleaning Authority! They do an excellent job cleaning. I always get a reminder call. And they have always showed up exactly when they say they're going to.

I had some issues at first, but I let Pete know and they've been good ever since. They addressed those issues. He is good about calling when he needs to reschedule. They use non-toxic cleaning products and they bring all of their own stuff.

Frustrating to have to repeatedly tell them to vacuum couches and floor well. Had to request that they move objects on furniture and dust under them. Failed to give extra attention to areas "specified for the day." If they did focus on the specific tasks on the list, the other parts of the house were poorly done. According to my understanding, the whole house was to be cleaned each time with rotating "specific areas" that were to be given extra attention. I could never tell if the "specific areas" were ever done. I have cancer and I have asked that the spare bedroom be cleaned extra well since I spend a lot of time in there. This last week it didn't look like it had been done, dust on all the furniture and lamps/lampshades. Couldn't tell if it had been vacuumed. Even if this company is busy they must deliver what they promise.

Well, they were just not thorough at all. They had put out a schedule with me for every two weeks, but that did not work out. They would not do a very good job. They were supposed to clean out the vents on the exhaust fan, vacuum upholstery and do some extra work on the baseboards. They never did any of that. They would clean the floors, but, never did anything else they said they would do.
