West Jordan Concrete

They were very prompt about giving an estimate and scheduling. I was not home when they came to do the work, but left a text message with them to call if they were any problems. They finished the job the same day and texted me about payment. When I got home and saw the finished job, the concrete work was fine, but the condition of my driveway was not. My driveway had concrete coating and was sealed, They used a concrete cracker to break up the steps. The cracker left black tread marks all over the driveway. When I called to express my dissatisfaction, they sent someone out the next day to pressure wash my driveway, but it still looked the same. i gave them 1/2 payment in good faith with the intention of resolving the driveway damage before giving them the rest of the payment. After further discussion, they told me that it would wear off and they could do nothing more. My experience with removing tire marks from sealed concrete coating is that it does not completely wear off. I suggested having them do another concrete coating over the damaged area and they said they only did small areas and to have a concrete coating company do it. Bottom line, as soon as black marks were noticed, they should have called me so I could have considered other options to protect my driveway. Their lack of professionalism about resolving the damages is unacceptable.

They were incredibly fast! I called and they were there the next day. Our yard is very uneven but that was no problem for Jesus and his team. I am planning on putting in a driveway extension and will be giving them a call.

Very satisfied with work performed. Jesus responded to my calls promptly and work was done as scheduled and for agreed upon price, no surprises. I thought finish work was very meticulous.

After a week there was cracks all over the place the longest one was 5 ft long. I felt the concrete was too wet which caused all the cracks. He said he would take care of the main 2 cracks by cutting out the old crack and pouring new concrete. What he actually did was sneak in my back yard and slap a thin layer of dark concrte on top of the crack. Of course it only lasted a month and the top layer is crumbling off. Now I'm trying to find some one to correct his work.

Jesus and his crew did a fantastic job on our new patio. He was quick to come give us an estimate, and fit us in his schedule within a few weeks. They are very experienced working with cement, and very hard workers. He was the 8th quote I got for my patio--yes, I checked with EIGHT cement companies, and he was the least expensive of all of them, and I felt like he would do the best job and get us in the quickest. It was my first time using Angie's List to find contractors and read reviews on them--very helpful. Wouldn't have found Jesus without others input on this site, so thanks.

The concrete work was done well; but, during the process the company damaged my sprinkler system and down spout for gutter. They seemed to have little regard for whatever damage they make.  The company was not receptive to the homeowner's desires regarding desires for the concrete layout.  It was generally difficult to communicate (get the message across).   Approximately 3 weeks after the work was done, the concrete sidewalk that lead from the driveway to the front entrance cracked.  I called the company and I have not received a response for a week after my call.  Based on my experience, I am highly doubtful that the company will ever respond.  The quality of the work and materials for the concrete seems to be done well.  Aside from the concrete work,  I had made an agreement for this company to do landscaping work at the same time that the concrete was being done.  The bid included both the concrete and landscape work.  Once the owner realized that he had underbid the landscape work, he backed out of the landscape commitment and only wanted to do the concrete work.   
   This company's bid was the best (lowest) compared to others.  If you decide to work with this company, I would make sure that damage that they do incidental to their work is addressed in the agreement.  I would also think carefully about the concrete design if it is going to be different than the existing.  Discuss design changes in advance with the company.  I would also discuss remediation for cracks and settling expectations and warranties  with the company.  Lastly, do not be tempted as I did to have them do any sort of landscape work.  They don't have the equipment and don't bid the work correctly.  


    

Owner arrived on time for quote, gave quote before he left and stated he could do the work in about two weeks.  Exactly two weeks later he called to say he was sending his crew out the next morning.  They showed up and did exactly what they said they would do!  He got the job because he showed up on time and gave quote same day, he asked if I wanted to get other quotes but I said no because he was the first one to actually show up and give quote where several others I contacted had failed to even do that!  I have no regrets going with them.

Jesus and his crew did an excellent job! We were very happy with how quickly they were able to come out and complete the project - faster than we anticipated. Very happy with the look and quality of the results!

Jesus and his team were great.  They did exactly what they said they were going to do, and were also responsive to my customization requests and were very flexible.   Time, reasonable and good quality work.   I would recommend West Jordan Concrete.

They came and bid the job the day after I called, sent me a written estimate and gave me an approximate time they would be able to start.  Turns out they were able to do it sooner.  I've got to say that the whole crew was amazing!  Everyone worked so hard and it was obvious that they are all experts in what they do.  Besides the workmanship, they were all so very nice and professional.

I would highly recommend them for you concrete job.  We will use them for our future projects without a doubt.

Jesus and his awesome crew are the fastest hardest workers I've seen. Plus they are artists when it comes to concrete. They started Friday morning and were rained out by noon. Back bright and early Saturday and got it all prepped just before a second noon rain storm. Poured it and had it looking perfect, coloring and stamping all, by noon. Jesus was a total pro when it came to helping me choose the right options for concrete mix and color and pattern. He was always really calm and patient while I asked for this and that a certain way. I could not be happier with the way this project went. And the price was awesome too. I am still, sitting here on my beautiful deck, in complete disbelief that it was that quick and painless. I'm blown away!

This was a fairly large job for a residence and Jesus and his crew did an excellent job. When steps were done improperly, on a slant instead of flat on top, Jesus came back with his crew, tore out the steps, and replaced them with no extra charge. Start time was a bit early in the morning for our neighborhood but, with that exception, everything was done professionally and at a good price. Quality seems to be good but it is too early after the pour to say whether the concrete will continue to weather well.

Very impressed.  I recommend them without hesitation.

After carefully asking and reviewing 5 different bids for a concrete job around my house, West Jordan Concrete came through wonderfully. They not only came in lower than anybody else's bid, but with the quality of work that WJ Concrete performed, I feel I received the best possible work that could have been asked of. WJC quoted me 1.5 days to do this job which I quite frankly thought that was a little crazy to break up, strip out and pour a driveway, front porch and steps, RV Pad and back patio, but they showed up at 7:00 am and by 5:00 pm that same day, the job was completed, cleaned up and it exceeded my expectations. They communicated every step of the way, and I knew and felt comfortable about the job as it was being completed. I would recommend WJ Concrete anytime to do concrete work, and if/when I need concrete work done again, WJ Concrete will be my first option!

We are very pleased with the project. There are a couple of items that did not turn out perfectly, but overall we are very happy. Mr. Martinez really cares about his work, was on-time, on budget and patient with my many questions and requests.
If I ever need concrete again, I'll be using West Jordan Concrete.

West Jordan Concrete was good. They showed up on time and did the work and finished up on time. It was a good price.

They did a good job. It was the first time I had used them. They were quick and efficient.

He was very prompt and came over the same day I originally called to provide an estimate. After I called back to accept the bid on a Saturday, Jesus said they'd be there Monday morning between 7:30 and 8 am to begin the work. They showed up right at 7:30, and the entire job was completed by 3pm that same day.

It has only been 4 days since the job was completed, but so far I am very satisfied with the work done. I would definitely use West Jordan Concrete again in the future.

West Jordan cocnrete rocks (no pun intended). I was called back withing 24 hours or less and I had my bid the next day. They came back within a week and poured the concrete. They did a great job and even extended a sidewalk for me, with no extra charge. About 2 days after West Jordan finished my job, on of the other companies I contacted finally called me back. If I need work in the future, I will definitely use West Jorday Concrete.

The only complaint that my husband had was that there was some cracking after they left. He wanted them to come back and look at it, but they never came back. It looked fantastic when the poured it.

They called me back the next day and my concrete was poured within three days of my call! It was quick and well done. They even helped us work out some design for the patio. It looks great and we love finally havilng a patio!
