Utah Reflections

Francis was quick to respond and provide a bid. He wanted ½ of the money up front. It took three weeks to get him to the house, and I took a day off work so that he would come to the house, as it was difficult for him to schedule the service in the evening. He and a worker showed up around 9 am and were finished by 2:30 pm. Francis didn’t put vinyl stripping around the edge and the shower immediately leaked around the glass, near the marble. Also, Francis chipped a huge part of the tile and didn’t let me know. We found it after he left (he stood in front of the broken piece when showing me the finished product). We messaged Francis about the leak and the chip. Francis came and put vinyl stripping around the edges, but said he forgot to check the slope of the shower tile under the door in the main shower. It still leaks. Francis tried to fix the chip with calking to hold the broken piece in place… looks horrible. We now need to replace the entire marble as it is a single slab. The shower still leaks under the door. Francis will not answer texts, calls, or emails now. We are out $2000 and more as we need to replace the marble and aren’t sure if the new enclosure will work with the new marble, or if we have to replace the enclosure, as well.
