Up until today I would have given Amour Animal Hospital an A. They have taken good care of my dog during check-ups and have an excellent boarding service. We have been taking our dog there for 5 years. My French Bulldog is old and she is having problems with her spine. She is also gasping for every breath she takes. I called and asked if we could please bring my dog in today and explained why (we need to know if there is a chance of her getting better or if we need to consider putting her down). The earliest they said I could get in was November 28. My sweet little dog needs to be seen as soon as possible. She is suffering. I was so disappointed. I understand that places get busy and appointments fill up. I have been a loyal customer for years and willingly waited until I could get appointments. The one time I really needed them, I was told too bad. Maybe I could understand if I was a brand new client and didn't have a history with them, but I do. I am really sad about the situation and will be finding another place to go today.

They have been excellent and are really good. They have a groomer there who is really good as well and we have used her too. We would highly recommend them and will continue to use them.

I've taken my dogs to Amor for about 10 years. I really liked their services, Vets and reasonable prices. About 3 months ago I took my Yorker in for grooming. I had him groomed there a couple of times before and they did a very good job. This time he wasn't even cut at all. I told them I wanted his chest shaved, that's all they did beside bath him. Duh! After I got home and took a closer look at him, I called and complained. I told them he haven't been groomed at all. After I got the run around, the Vet called me back and told me to bring him back in on Monday to redo his grooming. What a joke! The new groomer ask me what I wanted done, I said groom him, cut his nails. They wanted me to go into detail which I've never had to do anywhere, anytime with all my dogs over the last 35-45 years. The other new groomer came out and continue to ask in detail what I wanted. She even showed me pictures on her phone. I was angry and ask them why I had to tell them how to do their job. I agreed on a photo that was a lamb cut. When I came to pick him up he still looked crummy with uneven hair everywhere. Obviously both these groomers had very little experience or training. I decided that would be last time I'd take him there to be groomed. About a month ago, I called to get his shots and they told me they couldn't do that without a Vet doing a check up. A $173.00 later, because I agree on a test for heart worm and medication plus the 2 shots The meds for heart worm were for 6 months only, they use to sell 12 months. They said it was an important to get the meds because mosquitoes were now spreading heart worm. The test and meds were about $106.00. At that time I made an appointment for a teeth cleaning that I had done there last year for about $430.00. This time I had to pay $831.00. Almost double from the year before. They claimed they removed 8 teeth. They charged me for pain meds, antibiotics and another pill. I just thought it was ridiculous and I just don't trust them any more. They have changed Vets, added (VCA) to Amor Animal Hospital name and their prices have doubled. I don't know what's going on but I can't afford to take my dog there anymore and I'm really disappointed with their high charges and Vet changes. I will be shopping for a new Vet that isn't so expensive. Too bad!!!

They are fantastic. We used Dr. Sicklesmith. I don't know if he's still there. He's probably the finest we've ever used. We've had animals for years and he's just compassionate and just fantastic, Dr. Rick Sicklesmith. They did some surgery on our dog and cared for him for 2 or 3 years.  I don't know if he's still there because it's been a couple of years. We ended up having to put our dog down. He was the doc and he was just fantastic. I can't say enough good things about him. I don't remember the price for euthanizing the dog but it wasn't out of line. I would rate 5 stars for everything that they did.

The doctor I go to is marvelous. The technicians and everybody that I have had contacts with at Amor have been very helpful and do a good job. We haven't paid for the blood work yet; but, we did get an estimate. In general, the things at this clinic are a little bit less expensive than near my place, in Park City. I know that real estate is more expensive out here; so everything, costs more. The hospital is fine and they do a good job. This vet, started out up here and then he went to Armor; there are a bunch of us, who drive all the way from Park City to West Jordon just because we think, he is a terrific vet. I like everybody in that hospital. I have had bad experiences in the past; so when I find something good, I tend to go with them and send my friends to them.

Amor gave us an appointment within an hour of our call. Arriving, we found the hospital waiting area to be large, clean and attractively decorated. A large artificial tree overhung the reception counter. There was a glassed room with 3 colorful parrots in one corner of the waiting room.

The receptionists, vet assistants and Dr. Sickelsmith all made us feel right at home. They respected us and our dog, they listened carefully, they explained everything clearly, and they were professional in providing assistance. By the end of the visit, it was obvious to us that we had just found Mia's regular vet.

Dr. Sickelsmith has been amazingly helpful. He clearly loves animals and treats our "kid's" as though they were the most important patients he has. He is very responsive in answering our questions, corresponding via email with a genuine interest and empathy. We just think the world of him and the staff at Amor.

It went great and the location is only a few miles from my home. The waiting room is large and there is not a long wait like some other vet's offices. I really liked going to Animal Crackers, they are great and very reasonable but couldn't get an appt, till the following monday. The waiting room is small and always packed with a couple of hours wait most of the time. Although Amor is a little more money, it's where I'll go in the furture.

The veterinarians here did a great job with my dog, they worked very hard to find out what was wrong with him and seemed to genuinely care about my animal's well being. I like that the people here are very helpful and they always follow up the next day to check on how things are going. They also have very nice boarding facilities on site.

My beloved dog was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer. The staff always made themselves available to answer questions. In addition, they went out of their way to make sure Bertha was as comfortable as possible throughout the ordeal. When it was time to let her go, the staff treated her as well as my family with the utmost caring, compassion, and respect. Although it was one of the harder things I have been through in my life, the staff at Amor made it as easy as possible. After Bertha was gone, I received a very nice touching card signed by all of the employees and doctors. Overall, I cannot imagine how this dreadful situation could have been made easier or less painful. The staff at Amor really earned my respect.
