Pam's Alterations

I brought in my father's wool ski jacket from the WWII era to have the sleeves shortened so it would fit me. Although I had been reluctant to have it altered because it means a great deal to me, I hated to have it just hanging in my closet. When we moved to St George I decided to risk it. This is a jacket  with long sleeves, cuffs, and plackets at the cuffs. Pam had me try it on, and she was careful about asking me exactly what I wanted done. I was stunned by the price she quoted because I have had something similar done years ago and it was nearly twice the price (and the sleeves came out too short so nothing could be done to fix them). The results from Pam's Alterations were excellent--great detail, accurate alterations, and now the jacket looks like it was made for me. I have a photo of my Dad wearing the jacket on the streets of Zurich after WWII, now I need to go to the same spot wearing the jacket and have my photo taken there, too.
