He always did a good job for us!

We had a driveway and large patio poured. We hired BZ Phaze because of the good ratings. They promptly showed up to give us a bid and started work the very next day. Things seemed to go well and they assured me they could pour in the cold weather. There were only 2 men working. Most of the time just one man. When the covers were pulled back and we saw the finished job we were speechless. We were VERY disappointed and upset with the poor quality finish work. The stamped patio turned out nice BUT they caulked the cuts and it was so sloppy and unacceptable that we had to dig out the caulking ourselves because they said it would cost more for them to remove the caulking. The stairs had clumps of concrete in the corners, they were not smoothed out and the edges were totally rough and unfinished. We pointed it out but they just left and never fixed them. The finish work on the driveway and covered patio area is so rough I wonder if we can walk on it bare foot and the rough finish is throughout the whole driveway. There is no way to fix this job. We would have to completely dig it out and start all over. We paid almost $27,000 for this job and now we are stuck. My expectation was to have a driveway and patio comparable to the quality I have seen all over our neighborhood. Just a basic concrete job. I am embarrassed to have people see the extremely poor quality. And the neighbors and family that have seen it have been shocked at the extremely bad finish work. The 2 man crew worked very hard. They were respectable and prompt. They told me everyone has always loved their work. So I am perplexed as to how this happened. We are going to have to hire someone to come and try to fix our stairs. The rest we are going to have to live with. I have pictures, you can call me or you can drive by. I would never recommend them to a friend. I believe they thought they did a good job. I told Elroy to go look at the driveways, patios, and stairs in the neighborhood and tell me his job was equal to them. It just blows my mind. It will also cost us about $300 or more to repair the metal trim and siding around our garage door that was bent beyond repair when they tore out the old driveway. We have to replace a sprinkler that is missing. (They don't remember what happened to it.) And they broke off the limbs on the whole side of my Japanese Maple because it was in their way. (Had I known I would have wrapped and tied it up.)

We had a 8' x 20' walk out basement area done with 3 retaining walls, a drain and stairs. Price was perfect for their high quality work (we've since had a deck build on top of the retaining walls and it's super sturdy). They suggested a beautiful stamped look and stain (looks like a dark blue-gray marble) that goes perfectly with our house. They even let our kids put their hand prints in the concrete! They pumped out this amazing area in 3 days. My kids loved them! My 3 year old boy kept going out to see them so he could "talk to these guys" whenever he saw them outside. I definitely recommend them!

I have no complaints.

Working with Jessup was a breez, everything went smooth even though it snowed and had rain. They did a change order on a handshake, excellent work ethic and cleanup, hope to have them back in spring.

Jeremy was prompt, honest and accurate with his estimate, and cleaned up the mess completely.

They are extremely busy, they are worth waiting for!
