Mister Garage Coatings, LLC

I hate writing this review. I wanted Mister Garage coatings to do well. I am into the third week of trying to get things resolved with them, but Leo will no longer reply to my texts. I assume this means he stands by the workmanship he left in my garage. I am only writing the review to warn others that they are better off hiring a professional epoxy installer in place of Mister Garage Coatings. They have ruined my driveway and left me with an epoxy floor that will cost me thousand to have a professional fix. If you are considering Mister Garage, feel free to tell Leo you would like to see my garage before moving forward. He has my number and can provide it to you. I am happy to share photos, videos and my entire text string with Leo with anyone interested. You should know what to expect before letting them begin work. Itâ s impossible to capture the many issues and frustration in a condensed review, but here is a brief recap of my experience with Leo and Mister Garage Coating. It started out good, Leo had his coworker show up on 8/29 and he spent nearly a full day grinding my foundation walls down to make it look nice for the epoxy coating, which I was not expecting. When they returned the following day to apply the first layer of epoxy I brought up concerns with garage prep before they applied the first coat as they did not grind the concrete, patch any cracks or removed adhesives from the concrete and only used a blower to clean the garage, which is different from what I was told the process would be. Leo told me that they assessed the concrete and it did not need any preparation. They completed the first layer of epoxy and flakes the following day, which looked fine. Leo showed up the next day alone to complete the top coat. He did not tape off the driveway or scrape and clean up the excess flakes before applying the top coat. Once he completed the top coat it looked fine from the distance I could view it from. Once the topcoat had dried enough to walk on it I immediately had several concerns. The flakes with top coat on it were extremely sharp to the point it would cut you if you were not wearing shoes. The corners were absent of any topcoat, just piles of loose flakes, there were rocks dried into the topcoat, cracks that were not patched showing through, a piece of tape that had not been removed from the concrete sticking through the epoxy and topcoat, and top coat was rolled and spilled onto my driveway. Leo sent his partner out to examine the work and they agreed fix the issues and apply another top coat as well as remove the topcoat from my driveway. Leo came back on 9/6 to apply a second top coat. Once again the driveway was not taped off and even more topcoat was spilled onto the driveway. Excess flakes were not scraped or removed. Leo applied the topcoat with nothing but a small paint roller, which broke, leaving him to try to finish the topcoat hunched over with a small hand roller. He then left, texting me that he was finished and left his co-worker there to remove the topcoat off the driveway with no tools to complete the job. Once I walked out to see the second layer I immediately noticed what looked like uneven spots and pointed them out to Leoâ s co-worker. But the epoxy had already set too much to even it out. Leo and his partner came out again on 9/10 to look at the garage, agreed there were several issues (Excess flakes, no top coat in the corners, extremely uneven topcoat application, and spots with bare concrete showing through). They said they would come back on Friday 9/13 to sand down the thick spots and excess flakes, then apply another topcoat to make everything even. On 9/13 I did not hear anything. I texted Leo to see what time they would arrive. He said 3:30, but they never showed. Leo has now stopped responding to my texts, leaving me with a ruined driveway and garage floor along with the cost to fix his sloppy work.
