I don't know what those other reviewers are talking about. Trent was excellent! He showed up on-time, estimated the job, answered all of my questions, and left with a clear and simple bid. I had so much confidence that he could do a good job that I hired him on the spot. He had all of the materials ordered the next day and delivered when he said he would. His crew was clean, professional, and tidy.
My basement was done exactly as he said it would. I would use him again in a heart beat.

The process was very smooth and fair overall.  They completed the job as contracted and there were no surprises.  They are definitely people of integrity and proud of their company.

He was a very personable guy. The finished work isn't perfect, but overall it's pretty good.

I was looking for high quality full service drywall at a fair price for my basement. RCI was not the lowest bid that I received out of six contractors. They came in quite high, but after negotiating a little, we settled on a price in the upper average. After talking with all the six contractors and asking questions, I felt most comfortable and confident in RCI. The reasons that I felt most comfortable with RCI are: All the workers are legal which is important to me. The taping and finishing process includes several steps where the walls are finished smooth first, then the custom texture is added after. I felt that the job knowledge that Trent offered was honest and solid and that attention to quality and detail were important to him. As far as the overall service goes, I am very happy. For the most part, they were punctual; there were a few times where they slipped. There are a few things that I wasn't too impressed with. The drywall hanger that RCI used for my job was a bit sloppy. I had to keep after him for missing and covering up electrical boxes and light cans with the drywall. I took pictures and kept mental notes so none were lost, but had I not stayed on top of this, there would be several boxes and cans covered up. He also damaged (roto-zipped) some of the low voltage wiring in some of the boxes and they had to be fixed with connectors. RCI took care of all the wiring fixes in a timely manner, and I have to admit that I could have done a better job at pushing the wires into the boxes further. But, nonetheless they were damaged and he could have taken a few extra minutes to avoid cutting into the wires. Lehi city does an inspection on fastening the drywall to make sure there are enough fasteners to hold the sheets up. They didn't pass the hanging due to several areas not having enough fasteners. This was fixed promptly by RCI, and communication was very good in fixing all these problems. The taping and finishing turned out very well just as we discussed early on in the project, and a very strong point was the very good communication that Trent provided. All the walls were taped and finished smooth first, then the texture was added. Any concerns I had with the hanging were laid to rest with the quality of work that was done with the taping and finishing. I feel that I was able to get exactly what I set out to get which was high quality at a fair price. Sometimes you get what you pay for, and I feel there is value in the money I spent. I would recommend RCI to anyone who has the same objective. There are plenty of cheap services out there to give you mediocre work; RCI is not one of them.
