By far, the worst experience I have had with a contractor.
The best decision you can make, regarding roofing your house, is to NOT use Weatherguard Roofing.
-poor communication
-gross mismanagement of time
-incompetent workers and workmanship
-lack of ownership, oversight and follow through
I was assured in writing by the owner, Michael Pittman the job would be completed in ten days. During what resulted in a five-month ordeal, I was lied to, ignored for weeks on end, regularly bumped to the bottom of a priority list, and asked by the owner to front him $2500 to pay for a broken machine. These are just some of the highlights of this project. Over the course of five months, I dealt with two project managers (not including the owner) and three crews. I spent countless hours trying to find out what was causing the delays, why parts of the project were left incomplete, and addressing work that was done and then redone due to mistakes and no proper oversight. After missed deadline after deadline and assurances that work completed was satisfactory --which I then I had reviewed and found faulty by several other industry professionals, I was forced to find another contractor to fix the mistakes and complete the job (which took them almost two solid weeks).

Mike Pittman was working under the name of Weatherguard Roofing when we hired him. The roof was fine when originally installed, but the first winter we had damage to the lower shingles. They also left the ladders leaning against the new roof unsecured and the wind knocked them over, scratching the new aluminum. To correct the problem, he left us with a can of paint. He refused to take care of the problem. After doing some research, I found out his insurance had been canceled. He was very rude to us on the phone and told us it was our problem. I finally went to the manufacturer of the aluminum shingles and they were able to help us a little. When they removed the old roof, they threw the shingles against our shed damaging the siding. We ended up filing a claim with our insurance and having another company make the repairs. The other company informed us it was not properly installed in the first place. There were insufficient clips installed and he also did not install a water or vapor barrier as is required by the manufacturer. I would not hire Mike Pittman to roof a dog house.

Many of the roofing companies I called did not bother to show up for estimates or return my calls. Weatherguard was punctual and showed up on time for estimate and for work. When some specified work was not done per our agreement, they were quick to respond and came to make it right immediately, plus they took the time to explain why we likely had our wind damage in the first place. Very professional and responsive.

It went well. He had the lowest bid, was prompt with the bid and required about 25% down. They had some scheduling problems that delayed the project by about a week which caused a little water damage in one unit. But they were prompt and got the job done on time. The only problems were over scheduling as mentioned above and the dumpster they used left a couple of potholes in our parking lot. It will take several years to determine the quality of the job but so far so good.
