Pep Boys

They are on the way to work. They take way too long to perform the service. It is a drive in and wait. I was there for two hours and their techs were goofing off. They were not diligent at all. They didn't reset the computer and so, like 10 days after my oil change, my vehicle was thinking that it was time for an oil change. I would use them again just because of the convenience of the location and I do like to run my own scheduling.

I traveled from South Eastern Idaho to Midvale, Utah to purchase a car on 9-15-13. I got there in the afternoon and purchased the car. It was older and although the tires had been reported as being in excellent condition they had numerous deep age cracks. Since I had about a 5 hour drive to get home, I felt that they would not last the trip back to Idaho without blowing out. It was late in the evening and all other tire stores had closed. Someone told me to try Pep Boys at 6061 South State Street in Midvale. They were open and took my car in right at closing time. Shad was at the front managing checkout and Dave was the manager at the time. They were both so helpful and positive even though they had to stay after to repair the car! They even had my oil changed, which needed to be done. I am so grateful for their help and service!

This place is great. The service is exceptional, and they will put on windshield wipers for free, squeeze you in if it's an emergency to get your car fixed, and they seem authentically interested in building their customer relationships. Always reasonably priced, and I've done many comparisons after getting bids. They only difficulty is that they are often backed up at the check out and it can take a while to pay for your car or buy something. However, it's worth the wait.

They are the ones who told me to have a rack pinion job. Based on that visit I did not get it done, as I had my doubts. That would make me unhappy with that visit. The safety inspection was fine. I would use them in the future for minor things.

The job went well overall. They were quick. They seemed pretty professional. I also took my mother in because her heater was going out in her car. They put it back together for her twice for her to drive away and come back. That was really nice of them to make sure she was happy. I am not sure about the price because I did not shop around. The quality was good. Their responsiveness was quick. I will use them again in the future.
