Mountain View Animal Hospital

Kanda Hazelwood is our regular vet but we have worked with a number of other vets in the practice and we are very pleased with all their professionalism, compassion and social interaction.  The vets regularly meet appointment time and they make my lab feel as comfortable as possible.  They always present us with treatment and cost options.
We very much appreciate that the vets/staff follow up a few days after an appointment to see how our dog is progressing.

Overall, the experience was really good. We were checked in quickly and I felt like my dog was in good hands. We've seen Dr. Van Wagoner for about a year now and she is absolutely the best - very responsive and concerned. The staff are very nice and we get checked in quickly. The facility is clean and well staffed. The only slightly negative comment I have is that on the ultrasound day, my dog was without food for 12 hours prior to the scheduled procedure. The sonographer ran late and it took a while to do the scan and get results, so she was without food and insulin from 7PM the previous night until 3PM the next day. When I picked her up, she hadn't been fed or given insulin. In fairness, maybe there was a reason for this? But the staff said they didn't feed her because I didn't ask them to..... So, my advice is to be specific on your expectations. I mistakenly thought that she would be given food after the test, but I shouldn't have assumed.

The staff and veterinarians are friendly and genuinely enjoy the animals. The facility is very clean and up-to-date. They also have wonderful extended hours (until 8 p.m. on weekdays!!). They've also been very accommodating when a walk-in visit was necessary. We've lived in two other states while owning this pet, so I have other vets to compare services with, and I feel Mtn View's prices and service are definitely competitive. There are really only two negative things I would say....1) Of all of my visits, I've just never gotten the impression that their staff in general goes the extra mile when it comes to customer service-sometimes things get busy up front and organization often seems to be lacking, and 2) whenever I call ahead and request medication refills, 9 times out of 10 they have trouble finding the meds, my pet's chart, or else sometimes the medication hasn't been filled at all and then I have to wait for it. In spite of these two things, I still feel like my pet is getting great care and their hours and location are very convenient for me.

My dog was well taken care of there. I fully trusted them with my animal. They are so nice and the staff is really sweet. I think that overall, they provide a really great service.

Mountain View did a great job keeping and feeding my dog. It was very good the dog always come back looking great and healthy. I had a terrible experience with the Whites taking care of my dogs. They always come back sick.

They have a lot of compassion for animals. My dog was there for a week, while I went on vacation. She was well taken care of. It really makes me feel at ease, to know that she is in good hands. I would recommend them to family and friends.

I am very happy with Mountain View. They are very good with the animals. They are always walking the dogs, which makes me very happy as a pet owner. I would recommend them to friends and family.
