My parents used Shane about five years ago and were very pleased with the work he did then. He was roofing their neighbor's house and they went over and talked to him. Good thing, as he is not listed in Yellow Pages, although he is a licensed roofer. Most of his work comes from referrals and neighbors admiring his work! From the start, Shane was great. I wanted a red roof, which isn't done as often so he sent me to a couple of addresses to check out different shades of red so I was certain to pick the right one. He also dropped samples off at my house to review. We had some trouble with the rainy weather, but Shane kept in constant contact with me. I was trying to coordinate having insulation blown-in to my attic while the roof was off, as well as have the dormer re-built by another contractor at the same time, so it was a little complicated. Shane was great, and worked with both of the other projects seamlessly. My historic home is 100 years old and that meant removing two layers of asphalt shingles plus a layer of wood shingles. He also had to fill in the plywood base as there wasn't really an existing one. That did add to the cost, but it was not a surprise as Shane had given me a bid if that was going to be the case. His team arrived when he said they would and worked tirelessly for two days. The removal of the old shingles proved to be a bigger job than originally expected, and the amount of trash for the dumpster they had delivered was unbelievable. It put them nearly a half-day behind, but they never complained. Once complete, Shane decided that he didn't like the look of the white turtle vents so he came back the next day and replaced them with black ones that look much better. He is a perfectionist that way. I liked the work they did so much that I hired them to come back the following week and replace the roof on my detached garage. They were in and out in one day and cleaned up any mess they had left behind. Again, it looks amazing. We did have an accident when one of my windows was broken, but they immediately took responsiblity for the damage and came out and repaired it the next work day. That week I worked with an insulation company, a house painter, a dormer contractor, and the roofers, and by far Shane was the easiest to work with and the most reliable. I would recommend him to absolutely anyone as his prices are fair, the work is excellent, and his crew is professional.
