 + -1 moreWe took my 50+ yr old Singer Sewing machine to Jack. He was very courteous and listened to our situation. Because of the need to get masks out - he put this repair at the top of this list - and was done within a few days. Great work - Great Man ! We are so lucky to have him in the area.
Description of Work: I needed repaired. I am i the midst of making masks for others, and it stopped working.

 + -1 moreJack thoroughly cleaned out the old lubrication with had gummed up and solidified, which is what was causing the machine's poor performance. He really lube all the moving parts and the machine is functioning very well again. He also replaced a worn part.
Description of Work: My sewing machine needed a thorough cleaning and re-lubrication because it was not working properly. Operated sluggishly and would not make many of the stitches, such as zigzag stitches, properly.

 + -1 moreJack is friendly and professional. He told me about his background and training in sewing machine repair. He knew all there is to know about the Bernina 830 sewing machine. I really liked that he told me it is a great machine and to hold on to it. He had a lot of machines in his shop and is busy. In a very reasonable time he had my machine back to me in perfect condition. I would go nowhere else!
Description of Work: Jack cleaned and serviced my 30-year-old Bernina sewing machine. He adjusted the tension and tested out everything the machine had to offer.

Jack was able to explain how the old machines could do what we needed and at a much lower cost and one that would fit in my home. He was willing to take the time and teach us how to use the machine and and give us that personal touch. We would use him any time we need a sewing machine repair.

Description of Work: My Kenmore sewing machine is almost 34 years old. It was making loud screeching noises. I found Jack on Angie's List and called him on a Saturday. He graciously met us at his shop, and told me he would try to have it ready for me in a week or less. He had it all fixed in 3 working days. He was very thorough, cleaning out old dried up oil, which I don't think anyone ever did previously. He also replaced an original rubber belt that was all cracked. It purrs like a kitten now. Description of Work: My sewing machine wasn't sewing well. I looked on Angie's List and got Jack's name. I called him and went right over to his shop. He educated me a bit on my machine, told me it was a good one I should hold on to, and asked when I needed it. I told him I was in the middle of a project but I could work with his schedule. He said he would try to have it ready in three days. He called me the next day and had it finished ! I was delighted. It just needed a good tune up. He told me if it needed more than that he would call me

 + -1 moreJack works in a shop at the side of his home. I just dropped off my iron and it was repaired by the next morning. Jack was super efficient and really easy to get a hold of and charges a very reasonable price.
Description of Work: Jack is awesome. I was so happy that I found him here on Angie's list. I had him fix my clothing iron's cord. He had it fixed within a day and did an excellent job. I was so happy that he was able to fix the cord so that I didn't have to purchase a new iron. He saved me a lot of money. Jack is friendly, knowledgeable and a good communicator. I will definitely bring my sewing machine to him when it's time for a repair.

Description of Work: I have a 35 year old Sear Kenmore sewing machine that had never been cleaned or serviced. Jack cleaned and serviced the machine and restored it to like new! We dropped the machine off on a Saturday and picked it up the following Saturday. The price was more than reasonable, Jack did a great job and I highly recommend him to anyone who has a machine that needs a repair or just a tune-up!
