I was absolutely blown away by how thorough and professional Cody's inspection was. The home had been inspected twice (due to other potential buyers) prior to Cody coming in, and he caught issues that the previous inspectors had completely overlooked. He explained each issue concisely and in a way I could understand, having no construction background. His report was detailed and had dozens of pictures of each issue. I would absolutely recommend Inspection Specialists to anyone needing a top notch home inspection. Thanks so much, Cody!

Cody came out promptly and spent a lot of time on our property.  He gave us a very organized report that had good detail.  Unfortunately, a year later we are paying for what he missed.  Our roof which he detailed as having 5 years of life in it has failed with the recent rain storms.  We have to replace it and our roofer said there are two layers of 15 year shingles up there that were well past their prime.  That's an $7500 cost that I wish we had when we were negotiating our house price.  Cody also missed the fact that our dug out crawl space was reinforced with wood paneling that has also failed with the recent rainfall and is rotting out due to poor grading on our property (also not mentioned in the report).  The grading in our crawl space goes away from our sump pump (tied into our sewer no less).  Suffice it to say, we have a whole lot of repairs down there that were not mentioned in the report.  There was a comment about the sump pump, but no mention of the risk and illegality of it being tied into the sewer.  I wouldn't use him again.

so, good comprehensive report.  i have lived in the home a month now and found no "surprises."  prompt service.  3rd home so i was used to all the legal disclaimers in the report re: what cannot see, what cannot warranty against, etc.  has pictures re: issues for repair/addressing.
on time.  friendly on phone.  clear report.  detailed.  found that it was on par with Pillar to Post service that I used with last home but the reviews for that were not as good this time around so chose this company.  would use again.  -Brian

Cody did a great job,. He was very specific in regard to the home inspection. We knew there were a lot of problems but he brought to our attention other existing concerns that we were unaware of. And now as we prepare for the remodel we can go forward addressing those major items of concern. We needed to know where to start and  what to fix first he gave us vital and important  information that will aide us in this project. I don't know what others charge for a home inspection but we are more than satisfied with the work he did for us and highly recommend him to anyone who needs a home inspection done .

Cody was our inspector and he did an amazing job. He discovered a water leak in the home coming in from where the deck joins the house. He saved us potentially thousands of dollars in water damage and mold mitigation. Ended up walking away from the home because the seller wouldn't pay a dime to fix any of the damage. Cody totally saved the day. I will absolutely use his company to inspect our next potential purchase!

He was on time and very detailed in his inspection. Found a few big issues in time for them to be addressed with the seller prior to closing. He took the time to make sure I understood what he found. The peace of mind I got from having him return to verify that his recommendations were handled correctly was worth the extra $75. It was definitely a good experience.

He found so many problems that I asked him to stop the inspection. I knew at that point that it was much worse than we had anticipated. Cody was wonderful. Since he was only half-done, he only charged me half-price. He has a great deal of knowledge. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Inspection Specialists delivered as promised.  I read many reviews prior to choosing a home inspector and was impressed with the high praises Inspection Specialist received.  Jennifer, who coordinated the service, was quick to return my call.  She was friendly, helpful and accommodating when I had to reschedule my appointment.  Cody took great care in his inspection and even spent longer than planned insuring a proper, thorough inspection of the entire home and garage.  He was very clear in his explanations and took time to make sure I understood his assessment.

Cody did a fantastic job.  It was clear he knew what he was doing.  He scheduled 3 hours to inspect this small home, but stayed an extra hour to document extensive (and unexpected) problems with the electrical system. He was thorough and objective.  He also took the time to explain everything he was doing and what I would need to watch out for should I decide to go ahead with the purchase.  I consider the price of the inspection some of the best money I have ever spent.  I would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

The inspection went well.  They did a great job but we had to wait for the report.  Because of the inspection we did not buy this home.  They found evidence of stucco problems that we didn't have knowledge of.  thank you for avoiding a future disaster with this home.

Inspection Specialists are amazing at their craft. They have been doing inspections for me since 2008 when I started selling a lot of real estate.  They have always been very detailed, educational and helpful throughout the inspection process.  I highly recommend Inspection Specialists.

Home Inspection went well.  This was the 3rd time we'd hired Cody as a home inspector (the first time we decided to cancel on buyer's due diligence and the 2nd time the appraisal was too low, but the 3rd time went though okay).  The first time we hired him, he pointed out some major problems that were very helpful in making our decision.  The 2nd time we hired him, same thing, and we learned a lot from the helpful information he gave us.  He's thorough and knowledgable.

They were great.  Both men were there for about 4 hours and really did a thorough check.  When completed, Cody went over everything verbally and showed us through the house.  By the next day we had a full report that was completely detailed with photographs and explanations. I was thrilled to have that information so that we could decide what was urgent and what was less urgent.  We were confident in their findings and went ahead with the purchase. My sister-in-law just used them for a home inspection a few days ago after our recommendation and she was very happy as well.
