Happy House Cleaning was formed in 2000 by Mike and Charmon Henderson. We had a desire to provide a high quality cleaning service to the Salt Lake Valley. To do this, standards were set high from the beginning. We are very meticulous about who we hire, all of our employees pass both a state and federal background check. Then we run a credit check and a drug screening. We only let people into your home that we would have in ours. Nine Employees. No subs. Cost is determined by the job. No service charge. May contact through e-mail. We accept all major credit cards.

My review in no way reflects the cleaners that came to my home. They did an excellent job. This review is for the management of the company. When I got the quote, it was for an hourly price of $55 per hour with an estimate of 2.5 hours. I have been overbilled for 2 out of 3 times I’ve used the service. The cleaner does the job in 2 hours or less. The owner refuses to credit back the difference, take my calls or return messages. This is unacceptable behavior. Especially in a service company! I will not use them again!

"[Member Name Removed], I am very sorry about the misunderstanding of your service charges. Our minimum service charge is $137.50, estimated to be around 2.5 hours of cleaning. We have a minimum charge to be able to cover expenses and wages. We do a set price on maintenance cleanings so that you would be able to budget. I wouldn't want to charge you a higher price if I sent a slower and less efficient cleaner than a cleaner which is more seasoned. Sincerely, Mike"

I’m in a long term Airbnb while in Salt Lake City and was so disappointed by the dirty condition of the rental that I had to hire my own cleaner. This place bordered on disgusting. (My second filthy Airbnb experience while spending 4 mos in SLC to help with my grandsons). Happy House Keeping sent the best. This is a tiny place but my cleaner spent 3 hours cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and washing. She did a wonderful job and I now feel comfortable staying here for another month.

I have been a customer of Happy Housecleaning for many years. The CoVID circumstances have been challenging for all. My last 2 cleanings have been exceptional! They worked with me to arrange a morning time that would work for me. The new cleaner (not sure of her name) has been exceptional! On time, gets started, and finishes as expected. The house is always clean, blinds wiped and baseboards wiped, floors vacuumed, swept and moped, and everything is dusted and cleaned. I have used them for almost 2 years now and they are so easy to work with and I appreciated their services.

they did do a good job but I wanted them for 2 hours they charged me for 6 hours . I only have a one bedroom. All they had to do is wipe down counter tops in they kitchen, mop the floors , do one small bathroom make my bed , vacuum and dust.. I almost died. I will never have them back. I felt ripped off.

Yes your apartment is small however you have so many small items that had to be moved to clean under and then wiped down and replaced. Our training supervisor was one or the crew and said you told her to stay as long as needed to do the job well which was 6 hours, The girls heard take all the time you need to do the job and didn't hear anything about a budget. I am really sorry the two messages were misunderstood. In the end we gave you a 14% discount and thought you were happy with the $194.00 total charge. Again thank you for your business I'm sorry we couldn't have done more for you."

First the employees were one hour late however, they were actually very lovely to work with no complaints regarding personnel. As a matter of fact they were quite polite when I asked them to correct a few things. The owner Charmin abused my card by doubling the price without notifying me; a returning customer. She told me on the phone how she and her family were suffering with the pandemic financially, but I had no Idea she would result to thievery.

I am however, confused about the rest of your review. You claim that we over charged you for the cleaning. You know that are rates are $45.00 per labor hour. The two cleaners worked from 12:21 - 4:26 a total of 8+ hours. The charge for this is $360.00. After the cleaning was done you requested that we tip the cleaners $25.00 each making the total charge $410.00. While we have had a significant decrease in business because of Covid 19, we would never resort to "thievery" as you suggested. I had 2 hours of cleaning which I thought was enough time to clean my kitchen and 2 small bathrooms. Unfortunately, it took Cinthia 90 minutes to clean my kitchen so then she only had time to clean one bathroom and it was obvious that she was in a hurry. The bathroom floor wasn't touched (if you look closely at the photo, you can see all the hair) and the sink faucet was still a little dirty. My kitchen is a decent size and I realize she's only one person, but an hour and a half is a ridiculously long time when I didn't ask for the entire kitchen to be deep cleaned from top to bottom. This was my first experience having someone come clean my house and will definitely be my last. I would rather save my money and clean it myself.

The owners were so kind and we love what they value. However the job was just ok. The house was clean but not “professional clean”. They didn’t honor the full discount and that was disappointing.

We had our bathrooms done from top to bottom before the holidays come and all the guests with it. Isela was thorough and made the bathrooms look amazing. She was great at making the glass shower clean again and same with the tubs. If you want something specific, make sure to let her know so she covers it.
