This is a difficult review for me to grade because some aspects of this company deserve a five star rating and others much less. Last year, I called Jim at Creative b/c a neighbor highly recommended him. I am very pleased with the landscape design that Jim came up with and with the work they did EXCEPT for the quality of some of the trees. I asked for large trees that do not lose their leaves in the winter along the back fence line to give me some privacy year round from the neighbor behind me. Jim accomplished this and at first it looked nice, although I would have preferred a slightly different type of tree. Within a year, two of the trees were totally brown and dead, so I called him back to replace them. He sent his men out to remove the two dead trees very promptly, but that was over 2 1/2 months ago and he has never contacted me about replacing those trees. I did tell him that I was in no big rush, but his men have done other work on my street several times over the last couple of months, so I am very disappointed that I seem to be a very low priority, considering that I spent quite a bit of money with this company trying to accomplish a specific goal. We originally discussed using 2 blue spruce trees along the fence line, but when the trees came, all five were rather inexpensive looking "pine" type trees that do not have the density of other types. The trouble with these trees is that in the winter, the snow lies heavily on the sparse branches with long needles, and some branches have broken off because of the weight, so probably not the smartest choice. I think Jim is a great landscape design person and a very nice, polite, professional business man, and his men are very good about cleaning up and restoring the yard to it's orignal condition when they finish, but have to admit that I am not very impressed with his customer service when it comes to follow-ups on warranty work. I would use him again for landscaping design, but would probably not purchase trees through Crreative again, because I feel the quality of trees is better at Western Gardens, where I have previously bought threes.

The landscaping looks good. The pricing was a little high, but he was very nice. He went to great lengths to not tear up my yard. The guys that work with the owner have worked with him for several years. They're very careful and clean up after themselves.
