Matt showed up at the end of a busy day to give us a quote because he knew our job was time sensitive. The quote was reasonable and we were so impressed with the quality of their work that we hired them to paint more rooms. They were on time, professional, and their work was impeccable. We highly recommend Matt and Luke for any job. They will be our only painters going forward.

We had Matt with Costello Painting Inc recommend by a friend.  He came out to give us a bid to remove some large vinyl wall stickers and a cabinet that had been attached to the wall and a thin crack from floor to ceiling.  There was lots of  small damage all over as well after 5 years in business.  Then repaint the wall the existing color and match the paint.
He showed up on time for the bid, and understood everything I was needing.  There was some unknown extent of damage until he took off the vinyls and removed the cabinet, but gave me the best estimate for both possibilities.
There was also a time restriction to the job.  I needed it worked on early mornings before we opened.  They were able to accommodate this request.
They were able to start the project on Monday morning.  I met them at the shop and they got into the work quickly and efficiently.  They were able to get what they needed done for the day by 11 am as I had requested.  They cleaned up very well so my restaurant was ready for customers.  They came back Tuesday to add additional layers of mud, all the damage was not able to be seen by the end of the project.  They returned again on Wednesday morning to do the final painting.
Matt and Luke were so nice and efficient and knowledgeable, and explained my options when it came to how they could repair the damage.  We chose to do better for a little more time cost.

They did a great job.  They always responded in a timely manner, they were accurate in their estimates of both time and expense, and their work was excellent.  We have a very large kitchen and wanted to update the cabinetry from the pervasive Golden Oak finish from the mid-nineties.  I told them that I wanted to go light or white, and they recommended a couple of off-white colors and then gave their input on what they thought would look best (and they were right -- I took their suggestion and it looked awesome).  These guys do a quality job, and although you will pay a little extra for their attention to detail, I would definitely use them again.  The two other estimates I received were cheaper but I could tell the other companies were flaky -- didn't show up on time or return calls just to give me a bid.  I finally got them in for the bids, but if it's that hard to get them to bid you know it's gonna be rough to get them to actually work.

First of all, let me say much I appreciated Matt honoring the agreement we had for work. 
I had selected many paint samples to try and find the exact cool but vibrant lemon yellow I wanted for the room where I spend most of my time.  Friends had expressed strong opinions about how many walls should be lighter/darker.  When Matt came to discuss the color, he said I was the one who would be in the room; therefore it only my opinion that mattered and asked what I wanted.  I went for strong all over and he helped me see which sample would be what I wanted when it was finished and dried.
He got the paint, taped the room, and painted it all in a wonderful vibrant yellow, exactly what I wanted.  The work was so well done, everything was left neat and clean, and, as always, I was very pleased with Matt's work. 
Matt is so pleasant and professional to work with.  I appreciated his suggestions.  Most of all, I appreciated his consideration of my health issues and his willingness to complete the original agreement on the time frame I needed.  All I paid this time was the paint and supplies needed for this room. 
He is so professional.  He knows how to assess a setting and offer suggestions for the best results.  He is dependable.  He is pleasant and comfortable to be around as he works.  Even my skeptical friends admit that this is going to be an awesome room when everything is completed and put in place! 
If Matt is busy, it is worth waiting to have him do work for you.  I highly recommend him as a painter.

Matt help me select the two shades of blue and the kind of paint to use.  He and his brother were great to work with.  The colors and the work are exactly what I wanted.  The room is beautiful and I have had many many compliments about how great the space looks.  Due to some health issues of mine, we have not been able to complete the yellow for the den, but it is scheduled for December 27.  I hope the results there will be as wonderful as the blue rooms.  The Costellos were pleasant to work with.  They work efficiently and were nice to have in my home.  If the yellow turns out as well, I would certainly consider them for future painting that I might need.

Matt answered many of my questions through e-mail including the cost of different brands of paint and which ones were better.  He discussed with me what specific services we wanted, such as if we wanted the ceiling repainted.
 When I accepted their offer, they told me that they were approximately six weeks out and then when the time drew close, they informed me of the exact date.  They were prompt and efficient and worked with me to get the exact color that I wanted.  They masked things off nicely and cleaned up each night before they left.  They were pleasant to work with.
We discovered that there was some grit left on the banister.  They came up immediately and re-sanded it and painted it again to our satisfaction.

Matt was very punctual both in the visit for the estimate, and for the actual painting project. He and his brother Luke we very careful moving furniture and protecting everything. They were good to work with, making adjustments to keep it within my budget for this project. They redid a ceiling patch that had been done poorly by another contractor, and it looks great. They were also very quick, completing the project within a day.

Excellent, excellent, excellent job.  The Costello's were well priced, always on time, communicated well regarding scheduling and did fantastic job.  We would definitely use them again.  My highest recommendations.

Excellent.  Matt and his brother Luke arrived on time, set up and went immediately to work.  They protected my two couches with drop clothes as well as protecting the carpet, stairs, and railings.  They were fast, neat,  and efficient. Matt and Luke were friendly and kept me aware of when one coat was drying and when they were starting the next. They had fans to help the paint to dry quickly.  Clean up was thorough and Matt vacuumed when he was done.  I am very pleased with their work and would use them again and also recommend them highly.  Thank you Matt and Luke.

Costello Painting; Matt and Luke did a fantastic job. The bathroom surfaces were a mess and a lot of work went into getting things fixed and ready for painting. The prep work was great, the painting was completed and looks great. This is the second time we have used Costello Painting, the previous job was exterior painting of our house. They did a great job that time and a great job this time. They work very hard to ensure that the surfaces are prepared correctly and pay attention to all the details that need to be covered. The bathroom was a real mess, it looks great now, a lot of hard work and effort went into this job, just like the previous one and both look great. The exterior job was done several years ago and still looks fantastic. If you want a painting job done right, Matt and Luke will get it done for you.

The job went very well. Matt's bid was considerably lower than the other competitive bid I obtained. Since both bidders seemed to be very competent and were well-reviewed on Angie's list, we chose Matt. He did an excellent job. We have lived in this house for decades, and Matt and his brother, Luke, did the best job on the wood siding that has been done. In addition to the quality of workmanship, they leave the site extremely clean and are also really good guys. I would have no hesitation employing them again.

Matt was very easy to work with and always responsive to my concerns (which were always very minor). He was helpful with color suggestions. He was extremely thorough with the prep on my historic house--this included extensive window caulking and some trim repair. I have had multiple compliments on the appearance and quality of work. Would recommend without reservation.

Matt came out and gave us an estimate the week before they started with a measuring tool for accuracy (no eyeball guessing of room dimensions). I went to his paint store and picked an off white color. And when they came they started the day they planned to come. After first day I didn't like the color of the first coat and we changed the color and they went over with the second coat in new color that looked great. They were patient with the changes and when they came back to do the outdoor work on the third day, we paid them to do the first ceiling over in the new color since it had been finished the first day before the color change. They worked quickly and finished in the time they said it would take. They charged an amount for additional color on first ceiling and 3rd day redo of first ceiling plus extra paint needed. The two workers Matt and his brother did the whole job themselves and communicated with me each day and night before, the plan and what they would get done. Everything went smoothly and they cleaned up and left the place picked up. I moved most of the furniture and they covered two pieces I had no where to move them out of the room. They offered to put everything back in place but I wanted to vacuum and clean the rugs first.
