Contacted Carl on Monday set up an appointment for Wednesday. Did not here from him until I called him after our set meet time (9am). Was told he was running behind and would be there in an hour. Three hours later he showed up. On the phone I was quoted $150 a camera to install. When he walked my house with me we determined 4 cameras were needed. He then said the price would be $900. My wife quickly spoke up and said for $600 we would agree to the work for $900 we would not. He quietly said yeah should be about that unless we run into some issues. He told us he was making a supply list and would be back. After 3 o'clock and no word from him we called him to find out what happened it said he was down the street and that he needed to pick up his son to help out on the job. You can't imagine the shock we had when we realized his high school son was drilling into the back of the house while his father worked at the front of the house. Because of the size of our attic his son was the one climbing into our attic and fishing the line out to his dad. His son was nice and courteous but it made me nervous to think of the liability if this kid fell through my attic. The work was completed at approximately 9:15pm. Imagine being home waiting from 9am the time of the appointment to 9pm for 4 security cameras to be installed. I should also mention that we purchased the cameras and equipment else where and had everything ready to go. When they completed the job, we were left cleaning up after them. Everywhere they drilled in our home had dust and debris. Hand prints all over our walls and doors. They were nice guys but I would definitely not recommend them or use them again. We were charged $700 and asked to write the check to Carl personally. That seemed odd to us. Not sure how this company works but everything about our experience tells us they are a small one person operation.

I called them to look at my swamp coolers; the motor was ramping up and down. The guy showed up on time and went to my thermostat, ripped it off the wall (did not use screw driver) and tilted the thermostat shutting off the motor. He said obviously the problem was the thermostat because when he tilted it, the motor shut off. The thermostat has Mercury inside, if you tilt it the mercury flows to one side and the circuit is broken, so I knew that was not the problem and explained it to him. He got on the phone with his boss and talked about the thermostat, he then climbed on the roof and looked at the cooler. He said there were no burn marks around the controller and stated that he did not do low voltage systems (my swamp cooler has a 24V controller). Without making a single measurement (motor current, control voltage, etc.) him and his boss (on phone) decided it was the thermostat. He said he would research it and try and find the part for me. I suggested that the thermostat was a simple switch and asked if that could be causing the motor to ramp up and down. He said that had to be it and said he would research it and try and find a replacement thermostat. After he left, I called another company, they came out measured voltages and determined that in the end it was not electrical and fixed it. Cornerstone charged me $89.50 even though they ripped my thermostat off the wall (I had to patch the wall to get the thermostat to stay) and did no real troubleshooting apart from looking for burn marks - remember the guy they sent out "did not do low voltage." Really disappointed that they did a poor job of troubleshooting the coolers electrical system (no measurements) and seemed confused about how a thermostat worked.
