Great. This is the only company of MANY I called who would come do temporary fixes on the day of the wind storm, before the rain started.

Whitaker's service was excellent, beginning with the scheduler who explained exactly what services were involved in the repair in a very professional manner. The repair was scheduled about three weeks out, but when another customer postponed, Whitaker called asking to move our service up a week. The repair crew was prompt (20 minutes early, actually), very personable and completed the repair in less than three hours.

Needless to say, when water started dripping on my head in my livingroom during a very hard rainstorm with lots of wind, I was anxious to get the problem fixed!  I called Whitaker Roofing and Heber came out almost immediately.  He easily diagnosed the problem: the roofing contractor from h*** that I had hired to replace the roof a few years earlier had removed  the counter flashing of the old roof and never bothered to replace it. As a result, the rain was hitting the brick wall and running behind the flashing of the new roof.  Give me a break!  We scheduled the repair then and there.Their team showed up A DAY EARLY!  How often does that happen??  They completed the work in a way that solved the problem and greatly improved the look of the roof too.  I am thrilled with the work they did for me, the professional way they went about the job and the friendliness of their entire staff.  Look no further for any help you need with your roof - Call Whitaker!

This job sounded extensive. I asked how long would it take. An afternoon? I was told not an afternoon but, ?between 4 and 5 hours.? The cost would be $750. Concerned with a change in the weather, rain, I scheduled the job for later that week. Arranged to be at the house for the 4 or 5 hours it would take to complete the job.
Friday, the job was done but took only about 2 hours. Some people would have been happy to have had a
job finish more quickly but I was quoted a price for a job that was to take twice as long.
 What I was not prepared for was the form of the bill Whitaker sent me. In making improvements to my home I have become accustomed to bills that break down where the money went. At a minimum, an invoice should include a description of work, materials used, quantity, cost. Hours and labor cost, tax, sub-total and then balance due. This bill gave a description of the procedure and the total amount due. I had hoped to get a better idea of where all the money went. One man working two
hours? How much is that? Materials? What did they use? How much did it cost. At the bottom of the invoice was printed: "If you have any questions regarding this invoice...please contact Juli "
I contacted Juli at Whitaker Roofing to ask that I be sent a detailed/itemized job invoice. She responded, "..you did agree to the $750 right?" She sounded irritated that I would be asking for a detailed invoice.   Juli said that she would talk to Heber about the line itemization I was asking for. What got emailed back to me blew my mind:

Labor, Overhead&Profit $570
Total $750
A slap in the face. My problem? Whitaker Roofing quoted me a price for a job that was to take twice
as long and at completion failed to provide me with an honest accounting. What I got instead was a smart-=alec brush off.

I am very impressed with the punctuality of Whitaker. They came out to my house when it was raining, to work on my roof because they did not want me to get any water damage. I think they did it very fast too.
